I have a MR2 on low boost it's 505hp at the wheels. It dyno'd 672 hp at high boost. After beating an 800 hp viper, I got smoked by an older eclipse with an insane combo. These turbo cars can be built to hell if you spend enough money. And just cause a car has 800 hp, doesn't necessarily mean anything. When an 1100 hp underground racing Lamborghini runs high 11's, and a 600 + hp MR2 runs low 10's, there is weight, gearing, kinetic loss, etc. Very few Camaro SS's even run 12's. Learn a little abo

Mr2's are pretty damn nasty, and can hook corners just as good or better than any porche. you'd know if you ever driven one to it's limits. the Mr2 is a affordable Super car!!

that mr2 has thousands of Japanese engineer brain hours poured into making a small engine into a total beast and sell the whole package at a fraction of the cost of the 911. Good on the Japanese engineers on continuously improving the internal combustion engine.
the porsche weighs 3495 lbs and has 480bhp. the mr2 weighs 2700 lbs and has 242 bhp. those are the specs. i would say the mr2 is probably about 410hp.
guys i have a MR2 G-Limited and i use it in street and track racing the best way to help the MR2 not over heat is to remove your Air Con and the AC radiator and replace your normal radiator for a up grade with new hose's seems to work alot better and i have no problems =) happy racing!

porsches are expensive and the parts are too. Building a good fast porsche is gonna be pricey. The engine can cost as much as a mr2, you have to have a car to put it in first so... right off the bat youre down 20-30 k... or more. MR2s are fast, but its a quality thing. I dont think anyone that knows porsches will brag about their hole shots. lets see them compete in a road race. I can outrun a horse in a 15 foot race
as much as in love the mr2 and i do agree with you on the fact that they are underpowered, it is extremely hard to have mr2's running more than 300-350whp without problems, mostly over heating problems. but i still love mr2's almost as much as i love the supra ;)
Yeahm Supras hold horsepower well. MR2 is not a bad car, but it is difficult to tune. I guess since they are so light, being a little underpowered is okay.
Thats a negative captain. Only way to change camber on any SW20 is getting smaller hub to strut bolts aka "crash bolts" or getting camber plates. 93 Got the better looking 15" flat 5 spoke wheels, but the kouki tails werent introduced till 94.
its a 94+ or could be a 91-93 with 94+ tails... the only things that changed from the 91-92 is that the 93's have a bigger and better looking lip... and the springs were an inch lower than the 91-92's
Did you forget about the one piece spoiler introduced in 94? Thats a dead give away that is a 91-93. Noone in their right mind would ditch a stock 94 wing and replace it with a 3 piece. Not to mention drilling into the body. 93 had a revised suspension to lessen the oversteer. Too many n00bs were spinning out due to the lack of driving skill so they revised it in 93. Mainly longer rear trailing arms, and slightly different front lower arms.

@oddsource the mr2 also being a mid-engine car, it's anyone's race at that point when it's on track. it will all come down to the driver's skills. Mr2's are pretty damn nasty, and can hook corners just as good or better than any porche. you'd know if you ever driven one to it's limits. the Mr2 is a affordable Super car!!

the porsche weighs 3495 lbs and has 480bhp. the mr2 weighs 2700 lbs and has 242 bhp. those are the specs. i would say the mr2 is probably about 410hp.

guys i have a MR2 G-Limited and i use it in street and track racing the best way to help the MR2 not over heat is to remove your Air Con and the AC radiator and replace your normal radiator for a up grade with new hose's seems to work alot better and i have no problems =) happy racing!

Well folks its not simple but its not complicated either.
porsches are expensive and the parts are too. Building a good fast porsche is gonna be pricey. The engine can cost as much as a mr2, you have to have a car to put it in first so... right off the bat youre down 20-30 k... or more. MR2s are fast, but its a quality thing. I dont think anyone that knows porsches will brag about their hole shots. lets see them compete in a road race. I can outrun a horse in a 15 foot race

as much as in love the mr2 and i do agree with you on the fact that they are underpowered, it is extremely hard to have mr2's running more than 300-350whp without problems, mostly over heating problems. but i still love mr2's almost as much as i love the supra ;)

Yeahm Supras hold horsepower well. MR2 is not a bad car, but it is difficult to tune. I guess since they are so light, being a little underpowered is okay.

91-92 comes with adjustable camber
had a friend who own a 91 and confirmed it though 93+ have better tail lights and bigger rear wheels and comes with lsd
but no adjstable camber though i could be wrong on the camber part

Thats a negative captain. Only way to change camber on any SW20 is getting smaller hub to strut bolts aka "crash bolts" or getting camber plates. 93 Got the better looking 15" flat 5 spoke wheels, but the kouki tails werent introduced till 94.

Did you forget about the one piece spoiler introduced in 94? Thats a dead give away that is a 91-93. Noone in their right mind would ditch a stock 94 wing and replace it with a 3 piece. Not to mention drilling into the body. 93 had a revised suspension to lessen the oversteer. Too many n00bs were spinning out due to the lack of driving skill so they revised it in 93. Mainly longer rear trailing arms, and slightly different front lower arms.

for some reason the porsche is not opening up all the way and yes there are awd its called the c4 and a c2 is a awd some some non turbo some did some also was targas like the one i had before a drunk driver hit me mine was a c4 na 327hp stock and im sure that the mr2 was done right like 20 in the motor vs a stock 400hp twin turbo but if he put a boost controller on it bye bye mr2 i know my brother in hawaii has a t-top turbo mr2 1991 vs my 91 nissan nx2000 sr2odet turbo mine fwd i killed it

Actuall I got a 88 Audi 5000 AWD 5spd with its ECU re flashed @ a couple other mods Just shy of 400hp (382hp) So don't talk shit and yes it would eat your MR2 I'm just not a jack ass about it. But if you wanna keep talking like your cool all the power to you.
