I'm replying a little late, but yes, this song was played in Ace Combat 4. I'm pretty sure this song was composed for Hellsing, however, so I don't know why it would show up in AC4. Maybe some of the animators who did the anime stills for AC4 were from the studio that animated Hellsing, and wanted to pay tribute. Whatever the case, its nice to see the song being used in more than one place, since it's great :)

It appears I was wrong. The piece used in AC4 was a classic guitar piece called "La Catedral," whereas "Bodhisattva of Cathedral" was a modification of that song made for Hellsing. Hope that clears things up.

This is a classical guitar piece by Agustin Barrios, one of the greatest classical guitar tracks ever written. Always was good for interpretation, thanks to these guys for throwin it a bone! By the way, it's a 3 piece movement, and you will hear them all sparingly in the hellsing soundtrack... good stuff!

Hellsing is truly amazing. They have one of the most badass characters I've ever seen in anime, but that's not it! The kicker is that they make it so you KNOW he is a crazy psychopath and monster, but then he turns around and looks like he does at 4:09 ! He looks like he's almost a kind person there. Gotta love Hellsing; it was on the top of my list by episode 2. XD

OVA stands for Original video animation. OVAs are issued directly to DVD. This is the different between an OVA and a series. Series are released directly to TV first and then a DVD or box set will come out. OST stands for original soundtrack. This is an OST of the Hellsing series for instance. I hope that helps!

there are two names for this song, one in japanese and one translated to english. And this song is not from the new Hellsing Ultimate Ova series but from the first Hellsing anime serie releast sometime during the 90s, wich is much better and not as childish as The new serie Hellsing Ova is where the logo is "The bird of the hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame" bless to all Hellsing, Ishii Yasushi and Alucard fans. ;)
