  • Ugly? Ride this one and then the Melbourne tram you're waxing romantic about. This car rides smooth and quiet. The Melbourne tram, in Seattle or San Francisco is loud and hard to ride. Evocative, yes, romantic, yes. But that old San Francisco double ender painted in Philly colors is a delight to ride. And so are the the Melbourne cars. Ugly. I mean really, LRVs are ugly, boxy and plastic, PCCs are at least somewhat sensuous, if a bit broad...
