It's not seeing my hard drives. After the welcome screen, as instructed, I launch Disk Utilities. It sees neither of my two internal 120G SATA hard drives, the second of which is partitioned, providing a 52G Fat32 formatted drive on which I'd hoped to install. Hardware: HP dv9620us. I do see my external 2TB back up drive connected via USB, but I don't want to install there. Any suggestions?
@AdamOnDemand It's most probably not seeing your SATA controller. Try to switch the SATA controller mode inside the BIOS to AHCI or similar. Try unplugging one of the SATA HDDs. If everything fails, try another distro or format the whole drive.
@kc88kc OK, post your HW specs and distro/method you are installing OS X onto your PC. If you have FireWire port on your mobo - try disabling it in BIOS.
@kc88kc You should be more accurate. Mobo model, HDD configuration, CPU model etc. Try switching your HDD to AHCI mode. Delete and recreate the OS X partition in Windows and try again. It would be best for you to consult one or more OSx86 boards like insanelymac, tony mac, hackint0sh org etc. for more detailed help.
@kc88kc Well, now you got issues with drivers and/or patches. You have to check patches for your hardware to make it work. Try different kernels. Is your CPU Intel or AMD?
@kc88kc It's going to be hard to install OS X on your PC if you don't know what exactly you have under the hood. In any case, if you use AMD CPU you need to install Voodoo kernel (select it when installing from the list).
@DrMrwepster It all depends on the netbook hardware, check this link, you should find everything you need there mymacnetbook(dot)com/compatibility-chart
@Hamdhan3 i had the same problem, make sure you select the right drivers at the beginning of the installation, change the video card driver and then try again, if after that gets stuck when botting use "-x -v -f cpus=1" at the boot prompt.
@TheZimmer551 Only if you tell it to. OS X will be installed to a partition you designate for it. You don't need Win7 DVD for the installation. You may have a need for W7 DVD if you want to dualboot and you'll need to repair the bootrec.exe (if it breaks when you install chameleon).

@isstyles Macs and PCs are both Personal Computers based on x86 architecture. "PCs" have wider variety of hardware so there can be incompatibility - especially with cheap hardware, but if you have compatible hardware OS X runs the same as it runs on a genuine "Mac" - because it's a PC.
@gessto1 You have most probably installed a wrong patch for your hardware, try different combo, without Voodoo kernel and try different SMBIOS. Also make sure to install a bootloader (chameleon). Try without graphics drivers, install them afterwards via OSx86Tools.
@clarkkov thanks for replying , i will try what you said, i ve installed it so many times , i feel like giving up, it have never loaded, if i sent you my system info could you tell me how to customize the install? anyway thats if you can, but i will try what you said. thanks
@Neal123 Need to know more about your setup. Try wiping the HDD or the partition where you are installing OS X, plug your HDD into the first SATA port.
@TheNewhiphoprap Is this when booting the DVD or when booting the installed OS? Plug in your HDD to the first SATA port, enable AHCI. If installed, change SMBIOS, kernel and SATA drivers. More info about hardware will also help.
@TheNewhiphoprap Need more info to help. When does this happen, have you installed the OS? What chipset is your mobo using? Plug your HDD into the first SATA port.
@clarkkov im using an Intel Q35 Express Chipset and i have 4 sata ports and mine is plugged in to sata 1.
When i inserted the disk after burning it, i let it boot for like 20 mins and the indicators were not blinking and it was stuck at the apple logo. Thanks
@TheNewhiphoprap No need to wait that long, if it won't boot in 5mins, it won't boot at all. When you insert the disk hit f8 and enter -v. This will start booting the OS in verbose mode, see where it stops and post the error. You should enable AHCI in your BIOS (usually in the HDD or SATA controller section).
@TheNewhiphoprap Have you tried the verbose mode, what does it say? To enter your BIOS hit f1 or f2 or delete key when computer is posting (after the beep). You have AHCI mode or something similar (Advanced Host Controller Interface) somewhere in the settings there.
@FischundCoProduction Format at least one partition on your HDD to FAT32. If that fails, try enabling AHCI or tinker with the SATA settings, your HDD has to be plugged in the first SATA port - if it's IDE, it needs to bee primary slave.
I need some REAL help with this. I burnt it to DVD like said. and while running it just goes to apple screen..; and my computer restarts... My Motherboard is Gigabyte X58A-UD3R ..
I'm Using a gigabyte X58A-UD3R Motherboard... When i went into installation and mouse got to be used... It's SO SLOW. All of the graphics are amazingly slow on this new hackintosh i built.. I dont understand. I move the mouse and like a minute later it moves... My Graphics card is NvidiaGeForce GTX465... PLEASE HELP :(
@St1fm4ist3r You need to provide more info (your hardware, distro you are using...). Have you installed it or you can't even boot into the installation.
@clarkkov i have a insprion 1520 with intel wireless card. is there any drivers available anywhere for the intel 3945 wireless card?
also i'm new to this, how do i update from 10.6.3 to 10.6.6 and can i run ios sdk with no problem publishing the apps and transfer it to itunes? can apple find out that you published an app on a hackintosh?
sorry for the questions, i posted on insanelymac but for some reasons, my newly created thread are not visible on the new user forum...
@VanMedia There are Intel 3945 drivers for 10.6.2 and up ( I'll PM you the ink) on kexts(.)com. The iPhone SDK works on 10.5.8 and up, last time I checked, submitting to Apple Appstore was possible, but I am not sure if any changes were made after the new Mac Appstore arrived. I'm not aware if Apple is able to find out if you are using Hackintosh, I never had any trouble logging in official services and downloading the official updates with the built in OS X updater.
@clarkkov hmm that's weird i was running macosx 10.6.3 and i couldn't get the drivers to work.....maybe it's cause i'm noob to osx86. all i have to do was put the text in the correct directory and reboot right and it should have worked? or did i need to do something special? also did u get the ddriver from here?
I tried installing mac os x on a pc using tonymac method but i cant see ahci option in bios..?
it shows ide(enable/disable) and sata control(diable/cpmatible/enhanced)..which 1 from both should i choose to successfully install mac os x snow leopard
@dishantraijethani If you use IDE drives, you need to enable IDO controller in order for them to work. As for the SATA goes, I think it should be the "enhanced" mode. Try to find something like "Advanced Host Controller Interface" ergo AHCI.
@ccslcarlo You need to burn the .iso as a image to a DVD, download cdburnerXP and select the bottom option. Do not burn the .iso file to a data DVD nor do extract the .iso, it won't be bootable that way.
Hey, Im currently trying to install iAtkos on my AMD based maching allthoug I'm having some post installations problem. I first started of with iDeneb 1.3 which worked flawlessly except for the fact that I couldnt run any new software so i tried to install iDeneb 1.6(10.5.8) and it installs allright but my whole OS x experience kinda "lags" like os X animations are way to fast or choppy. This did not occur under iDeneb 1.3 and my graphics arre fully supported. Do you have any idea?
@bananmongo Your Gcard is fully supported, install without any G drivers and then add strings trough OSx86Tools like I showed in my tut. For full up to date Apple support try iAtkos S3 v2 (Intel only). Sorry, have no time for Skype...
@clarkkov Ok, well i tried to install w/o any graphical drivers but i still get the stuttering animations. For example the login animation (the "clock" thing) first runs way to fast den goes into slowmotion and then starts spinning way to fast. Do you think adding the strings will affect this?

@reddevilv7 This is as basic as it gets. Hackintoshing is not for beginners, you have to be a tech geek and understand computer hardware, this vid is for beginners in hackintoshing. It is impossible to make a general hackintoshing instructions, because every PC (model) is different, so it requires different drivers and patches. What is your hardware? What seems to be the issue with your installation?
I read the description.. I'm not sure how to check if my laptop is compatible... So if anybody knows by any chance please let me know!... The laptop is HP-COMPAQ Presario CQ60
@Ericrud96 CQ60 doesn't mean anything, you have to know what CPU, chipset, graphics card and NIC is your laptop using. There are CQ60 with AMD and Intel CPUs, use PC Wizard, Everest or SISoft Sandra to determine your PCs components. User manual can also help. AMD platform is most probably using HD4200 which will work only in graphics safe mode. Intel platform is most probably using GMA X4500 which also does not support 3D acceleration.
@clarkkov Allright, Thank you. Well anyways, I made a decision to buy proper parts to make the hackintosh. The HDD is 2TB.. And is there possible to make it Hackintosh one one partition, and Win7 on the other partition?. All the parts are proper, and mac supported.
@Ericrud96 This is the way to go. You could get two 1TB drives and have W7 and OS X installed on separate drives (to awoid compatibility issues between them). Otherwise, make at least two primary partitions, install W7 first and OS X second. Chameleon bootloader will automatically recognize both OSs and offer a choice at boot. If W7 refuses to boot, you'll need to repair the bootrec.exe (if this issue occurs, PM me and I will pass you instructions on how to do it.).
I'm not sure what is causing this, you should be able to install iAtkos S3 on your hardware. Try with different kernel and without any graphics drivers. Be sure to post your problem on one of the OSx86 forums.
@NoFatGamer Look at the date when this video was posted, then rewind to that date, check for YT video posting features and limitations at that time. hey man, i DL ur snow leopard osx, burnt it to a dvd+r, booted my laptop, cameleon opens, i press any key then i see the apple gray screen and 1 second later my comp reboots! please help!!!!
@Upsilonofficial It's not my Snow Leopard, I'm just a messenger. Have you downloaded iAtkos S3 or Leohazard, or some different distro? What is your hardware, be as specific as you can.
@Upsilonofficial You need to boot with the "busratio" bootflag. Find out what is your CPU multiplier and when booting iAtkos hit f8 and write: busratio=yourmultiplier e.g. 15, 20. You can find more help about this in any OSx86 forums.
@clarkkov ha! i found out that my busratio was 20 ( i had to type "arch=x86_64 busratio=20" cos its snow leopard) and after installation it asks to restart, i restart it and now (after i type -v in cameleon) it freezes on the apple gray screen!! thanks for helping me thus far anyway but any ideas?
@Upsilonofficial You should see the verbose boot if you boot with -v, not the grey screen. Boot with the busratio flag and -v and see where it stops, it should say why it stopped loading.
@clarkkov i tried typing the busratio bootflag then -v, the diagnostics are too quick to read, i tried taking a photo but i couldn't nail it, after the diagnostics it goes to a black screen...then nothing
@clarkkov also in small type at the top left of the screen it says for a split second before the apple gray screen appears, "efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata"
@clarkkov i tried one of the modified kernels and it worked! (still got to put the busratio flag but what the hell)
now onto the painful task of finding the kexts...one little problem, when i click on info about my mac it says my ram is DDR 2 when its 3, will this effect my system? is there a kext to fix this?
@Upsilonofficial "About my mac" info doesn't really mean anything, you can modify it to say "Hello World!" ;)
If you want to see your hack's performance download Geekbench and bench your system, you can run this benchmark in Windows, OS X and Linux and compare the results.
@Hamdhan3 Thats the easier way (but the longest). You can browse the cd in extensions folder and get the kext you need and then install it via kexthelper. You can also look for the kext on osx86(.)nl and kexts(.)com

@bandavid17 This tutorial is meant for installing OS X from scratch. It is possible to dualboot, but then it gets more complicated. You have to partition your HDD in any case, you have to have at least two primary partitions, one for XP and one for OS X. OSx86 bootloader will automatically recognize both OSs and allow you to choose at startup.
@bandavid17 Buy a new HDD!!! Don't be a rat... Make things easier, please!!! Installing OSX have thousands of difficulties, don't make it harder!!!! Buy a new HDD, insert it on your machine and install Snow L on it, don't be such a dumb...
@Hamdhan3 You can download them or install from the DVD. You can use kexthelper that will install your kexts for you. Depending from which ethernet adapter are you using, the kexts are most probably on the DVD. You can install them by selecting ONLY the drivers from customize menu.
@Hamdhan3 Install without any graphics drivers, you should be able to get to OS X desktop in graphics safe mode (1024x768 without QE/CI). Boot with -x if problems occur. Post back when you manage to do this and I'll point you to HD 4870 drivers.
ok after that i installed the iDeneb only the graphic drivers after that it worked until the registration screen after that i got the restart message now every time i boot i get the restart message
now a nother problem when . i installed iatkos 10.5.7 again now its loading and after that my monitor goes off and i hear a song playing in the background ...
@Hamdhan3 Thats a graphics adapter problem, what graphics card are you using? Have you checked any graphics drivers and which ones, when customizing the installation?
when i tryied it first time my computer got restated on the apple logo after that i typed -v busratio=20 cpus=1 after that some kinda dos thing went on after that i got the installation screen . after that i selected my boot priority to that had dick i installed mac next after that the apple logo comes and freez . and when i tryed typing cpus=1 the apple comes and the loading ring spins and stay forever .and i tried ACHI mode in bios tooo ...
i used iAtkos S3 aka Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and i installed it after when i try to boot it says error 0 testing for 3 lines and says boot error and the version u used it goes to the booting screen after everything is done and my pc get restarted ..
@JamesFisher100 Your hardware will work with this tut, but the graphics card is still not supported fully. OSx86 should get AMD HD 5 and 6 series working after Apple updates OS X for new Macs. You won't get 3D acceleration, known as QE/CI. In order for iPhone SDK to work, you need OS X version 10.5.8 and newer. Since iAtkosv7 is 10.5.7, you would need to update it to .8. You can download Leohazard, which is 10.6.2 and supports AMD and iPhone SDK OTB.
@JamesFisher100 I made a video tut on how to update v7 to .8. But I think you would be better off with Leohazard, since your graphics card should be supported in Snow Leopard soon, while there are slim chances that your g card will be supported in 10.5.8. There are plenty written tuts on the net, just google them, Lifehacker has a good one, you can also find many tuts on insanelymac.
@Hamdhan3 Your hardware seems to be compatible with OSx86. Which distro are you installing? When do you get this KP? Have you installed the OS or you can't even boot the DVD? Use iAtkos S3 aka Snow Leopard.

so man didi it work well, like does it run smoothly.
there is something to be said about being able to put windows on a mac, but it takes so long to put osx on a windows
isstyles 8 months ago
@isstyles Macs and PCs are both Personal Computers based on x86 architecture. "PCs" have wider variety of hardware so there can be incompatibility - especially with cheap hardware, but if you have compatible hardware OS X runs the same as it runs on a genuine "Mac" - because it's a PC.

@clarkkov ok cool, i just use the "pc" for a non mac computer but they are both PCs

im having problems installing iatkos 7, i have a laptop dell vostro 1400, when i install on partition, it wont load, do you know what it could be?
gessto1 8 months ago
@gessto1 You have most probably installed a wrong patch for your hardware, try different combo, without Voodoo kernel and try different SMBIOS. Also make sure to install a bootloader (chameleon). Try without graphics drivers, install them afterwards via OSx86Tools.
clarkkov 8 months ago
@clarkkov thanks for replying , i will try what you said, i ve installed it so many times , i feel like giving up, it have never loaded, if i sent you my system info could you tell me how to customize the install? anyway thats if you can, but i will try what you said. thanks

@Neal123 Need to know more about your setup. Try wiping the HDD or the partition where you are installing OS X, plug your HDD into the first SATA port.

@clarkkov it gets stuck on waiting for boot volume with UUID, Loading security extension com.apple.security.TMSafetyNet, dsmos: initializing, dsmos : Starting. Please help.
TheNewhiphoprap 9 months ago
@TheNewhiphoprap Is this when booting the DVD or when booting the installed OS? Plug in your HDD to the first SATA port, enable AHCI. If installed, change SMBIOS, kernel and SATA drivers. More info about hardware will also help.

@TheNewhiphoprap Need more info to help. When does this happen, have you installed the OS? What chipset is your mobo using? Plug your HDD into the first SATA port.
clarkkov 9 months ago
@clarkkov im using an Intel Q35 Express Chipset and i have 4 sata ports and mine is plugged in to sata 1.
When i inserted the disk after burning it, i let it boot for like 20 mins and the indicators were not blinking and it was stuck at the apple logo. Thanks
TheNewhiphoprap 9 months ago
@TheNewhiphoprap No need to wait that long, if it won't boot in 5mins, it won't boot at all. When you insert the disk hit f8 and enter -v. This will start booting the OS in verbose mode, see where it stops and post the error. You should enable AHCI in your BIOS (usually in the HDD or SATA controller section).
clarkkov 9 months ago
@clarkkov ill try that thanks
TheNewhiphoprap 9 months ago
@clarkkov I can't find that opition in settings for AHCI, do i have to power on all BIOS?
TheNewhiphoprap 9 months ago
@TheNewhiphoprap Have you tried the verbose mode, what does it say? To enter your BIOS hit f1 or f2 or delete key when computer is posting (after the beep). You have AHCI mode or something similar (Advanced Host Controller Interface) somewhere in the settings there.
clarkkov 9 months ago
@TheNewhiphoprap
try pressing F8, then type cpus=1 busratio=20
that worked for me

something to change in BIOS
FischundCoProduction 9 months ago
@FischundCoProduction Format at least one partition on your HDD to FAT32. If that fails, try enabling AHCI or tinker with the SATA settings, your HDD has to be plugged in the first SATA port - if it's IDE, it needs to bee primary slave.

VanMedia 10 months ago
@VanMedia There are Intel 3945 drivers for 10.6.2 and up ( I'll PM you the ink) on kexts(.)com. The iPhone SDK works on 10.5.8 and up, last time I checked, submitting to Apple Appstore was possible, but I am not sure if any changes were made after the new Mac Appstore arrived. I'm not aware if Apple is able to find out if you are using Hackintosh, I never had any trouble logging in official services and downloading the official updates with the built in OS X updater.
clarkkov 10 months ago
@clarkkov hmm that's weird i was running macosx 10.6.3 and i couldn't get the drivers to work.....maybe it's cause i'm noob to osx86. all i have to do was put the text in the correct directory and reboot right and it should have worked? or did i need to do something special? also did u get the ddriver from here?

I tried installing mac os x on a pc using tonymac method but i cant see ahci option in bios..?
it shows ide(enable/disable) and sata control(diable/cpmatible/enhanced)..which 1 from both should i choose to successfully install mac os x snow leopard
dishantraijethani 10 months ago
@dishantraijethani If you use IDE drives, you need to enable IDO controller in order for them to work. As for the SATA goes, I think it should be the "enhanced" mode. Try to find something like "Advanced Host Controller Interface" ergo AHCI.

ccslcarlo 10 months ago
Do I burn the whole Iso (iAtkos) or the folders inside the iso? :D
ccslcarlo 10 months ago

Do you have any idea?
bananmongo 10 months ago
@bananmongo This is definitely a graphics driver issue, try installing the same kext that you used for iDeneb 1.3. What graphics card are you using?

Hi I kinda put the whole hackintosh thing on the shelf for a while ;)
Well Im using an 8600gt 256mb, are you on skype or something because Im thinkin about maybe giving this a shot again! :)
bananmongo 9 months ago
@bananmongo Your Gcard is fully supported, install without any G drivers and then add strings trough OSx86Tools like I showed in my tut. For full up to date Apple support try iAtkos S3 v2 (Intel only). Sorry, have no time for Skype...
clarkkov 9 months ago
@clarkkov Ok, well i tried to install w/o any graphical drivers but i still get the stuttering animations. For example the login animation (the "clock" thing) first runs way to fast den goes into slowmotion and then starts spinning way to fast. Do you think adding the strings will affect this?

reddevilv7 10 months ago
@reddevilv7 This is as basic as it gets. Hackintoshing is not for beginners, you have to be a tech geek and understand computer hardware, this vid is for beginners in hackintoshing. It is impossible to make a general hackintoshing instructions, because every PC (model) is different, so it requires different drivers and patches. What is your hardware? What seems to be the issue with your installation?

I read the description.. I'm not sure how to check if my laptop is compatible... So if anybody knows by any chance please let me know!... The laptop is HP-COMPAQ Presario CQ60
Ericrud96 10 months ago
@Ericrud96 CQ60 doesn't mean anything, you have to know what CPU, chipset, graphics card and NIC is your laptop using. There are CQ60 with AMD and Intel CPUs, use PC Wizard, Everest or SISoft Sandra to determine your PCs components. User manual can also help. AMD platform is most probably using HD4200 which will work only in graphics safe mode. Intel platform is most probably using GMA X4500 which also does not support 3D acceleration.
clarkkov 10 months ago
@clarkkov Allright, Thank you. Well anyways, I made a decision to buy proper parts to make the hackintosh. The HDD is 2TB.. And is there possible to make it Hackintosh one one partition, and Win7 on the other partition?. All the parts are proper, and mac supported.
Ericrud96 10 months ago
@Ericrud96 This is the way to go. You could get two 1TB drives and have W7 and OS X installed on separate drives (to awoid compatibility issues between them). Otherwise, make at least two primary partitions, install W7 first and OS X second. Chameleon bootloader will automatically recognize both OSs and offer a choice at boot. If W7 refuses to boot, you'll need to repair the bootrec.exe (if this issue occurs, PM me and I will pass you instructions on how to do it.).

Upsilonofficial 11 months ago
@Upsilonofficial It's not my Snow Leopard, I'm just a messenger. Have you downloaded iAtkos S3 or Leohazard, or some different distro? What is your hardware, be as specific as you can.
clarkkov 11 months ago
@clarkkov it was iatkos s3 v2
i have an advent sienna 710 which consists of:
i7 620m, 4gb ram 1066hz, intel HD onboard, any other components u need to know?
Upsilonofficial 11 months ago
@Upsilonofficial You need to boot with the "busratio" bootflag. Find out what is your CPU multiplier and when booting iAtkos hit f8 and write: busratio=yourmultiplier e.g. 15, 20. You can find more help about this in any OSx86 forums.
clarkkov 10 months ago
@clarkkov can i find this out by using cpu-z? cos i think its a 10x multiplier
Upsilonofficial 10 months ago
@clarkkov can i find this out by using cpu-z? cos its constantly changing
Upsilonofficial 10 months ago
@clarkkov ha! i found out that my busratio was 20 ( i had to type "arch=x86_64 busratio=20" cos its snow leopard) and after installation it asks to restart, i restart it and now (after i type -v in cameleon) it freezes on the apple gray screen!! thanks for helping me thus far anyway but any ideas?
Upsilonofficial 10 months ago
@Upsilonofficial You should see the verbose boot if you boot with -v, not the grey screen. Boot with the busratio flag and -v and see where it stops, it should say why it stopped loading.
clarkkov 10 months ago
@clarkkov i tried typing the busratio bootflag then -v, the diagnostics are too quick to read, i tried taking a photo but i couldn't nail it, after the diagnostics it goes to a black screen...then nothing
Upsilonofficial 10 months ago
@clarkkov also in small type at the top left of the screen it says for a split second before the apple gray screen appears, "efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata"
Upsilonofficial 11 months ago
@clarkkov also its has an intel chipset mobile series 5 hm55
Upsilonofficial 10 months ago
@clarkkov i tried one of the modified kernels and it worked! (still got to put the busratio flag but what the hell)
now onto the painful task of finding the kexts...one little problem, when i click on info about my mac it says my ram is DDR 2 when its 3, will this effect my system? is there a kext to fix this?
Upsilonofficial 10 months ago
@Upsilonofficial "About my mac" info doesn't really mean anything, you can modify it to say "Hello World!" ;)
If you want to see your hack's performance download Geekbench and bench your system, you can run this benchmark in Windows, OS X and Linux and compare the results.
clarkkov 10 months ago
@Upsilonofficial You can put the bootflag into apple.boot.plist via OSx86Tools, this way you wont be required to enter it each time at boot.
clarkkov 10 months ago
so that mean do i have to boot from the DVD again ?
Hamdhan3 11 months ago
@Hamdhan3 Thats the easier way (but the longest). You can browse the cd in extensions folder and get the kext you need and then install it via kexthelper. You can also look for the kext on osx86(.)nl and kexts(.)com

bandavid17 11 months ago
@bandavid17 This tutorial is meant for installing OS X from scratch. It is possible to dualboot, but then it gets more complicated. You have to partition your HDD in any case, you have to have at least two primary partitions, one for XP and one for OS X. OSx86 bootloader will automatically recognize both OSs and allow you to choose at startup.
clarkkov 11 months ago
@bandavid17 Buy a new HDD!!! Don't be a rat... Make things easier, please!!! Installing OSX have thousands of difficulties, don't make it harder!!!! Buy a new HDD, insert it on your machine and install Snow L on it, don't be such a dumb...

Hamdhan3 11 months ago
@Hamdhan3 You can download them or install from the DVD. You can use kexthelper that will install your kexts for you. Depending from which ethernet adapter are you using, the kexts are most probably on the DVD. You can install them by selecting ONLY the drivers from customize menu.

and im using sapphire ATI HD4870 vapor-x ddr5 1gb graphics card
Hamdhan3 11 months ago
@Hamdhan3 Install without any graphics drivers, you should be able to get to OS X desktop in graphics safe mode (1024x768 without QE/CI). Boot with -x if problems occur. Post back when you manage to do this and I'll point you to HD 4870 drivers.

250GB Excel Stor (Hackintosh Drive)
Thanks!
JamesFisher100 11 months ago
@JamesFisher100 Your hardware will work with this tut, but the graphics card is still not supported fully. OSx86 should get AMD HD 5 and 6 series working after Apple updates OS X for new Macs. You won't get 3D acceleration, known as QE/CI. In order for iPhone SDK to work, you need OS X version 10.5.8 and newer. Since iAtkosv7 is 10.5.7, you would need to update it to .8. You can download Leohazard, which is 10.6.2 and supports AMD and iPhone SDK OTB.
clarkkov 11 months ago
@clarkkov Thanks for the quick reply!
How do i update iAtkosv to 8? or should i just use Leohazard instead of iAtkosv?
Would you be able to write me a quick numbered tutorial for me? I also would not know which utility's to select either.
JamesFisher100 11 months ago
@JamesFisher100 I made a video tut on how to update v7 to .8. But I think you would be better off with Leohazard, since your graphics card should be supported in Snow Leopard soon, while there are slim chances that your g card will be supported in 10.5.8. There are plenty written tuts on the net, just google them, Lifehacker has a good one, you can also find many tuts on insanelymac.
