That's right, cause the SL100 had had good reviews the years before, but when the SL125 came out later and the CR125 came out, it was like comparing a formula1 car with a mustang. As is comparing a 1993 CR125 with a 2008 CRF250R.
But at it's time, the SL100 was fun, reliable and a very capable bike. Also the SL100(stock) accelerated faster than the SL125(stock), because the SL100 crank and rocker arms were lighter than on the SL125. And the SL100 gear ratios were closer ratio from 1st to 5th
how about the differences between the xl100 and xl125 motors? do you know? Great vid. I have a sl125 and I have had more fun on it than any of my sport bikes. I also have xl 100, DT50 l/c, cl175(twin).
"Manchay" is in our hearts, as our lovely PERU!!!!!!!!!!! What a bikes: DT100, TS125, SL100, XL125, with 19" front, 17" rear, Koni shocks, Preston Pettys ... yes, I always remember all that as it was yesterday. Good old times!!!
this was before mono shocks I see. Nice bikes though...

I remember Dirt Bike Magazine dubbed the SL125
'The Turtle Chaser'---I had one at the time--
I dug it then got a new Elsinore 125cc--the good old days...bitchen man.
