Dave loves hershey's chocolate! When he preforms at hershey he spends the day with his daughters at chocolate world and hershey park! Some times he throws hershey's chocolate syrup in the crowd
i have a love/hate relationship with dmb. I love absolutely everything about them, and i hate that i will play music for the rest of my life and never. ever. get anywhere near their skillset :)
Heres why DMB concerts rock: There are no fights - just harmony. Everyone enjoying it, some for the same reason, others for different reasons...But no one cares - they all just wanna hear the music.
@jalt121 yea theres always some asshole looking to pick a fight at metal concerts, but if you have been you know theres also alot of really cool nice people there
@SuperiorSwagon1 I believe it was the nickname of leroi moore, they're former saxophone player. He died during the sessions for big whiskey and groogrux king.
My friend let me take his 3rd row seat for two songs while he went out for a piss/smoke break. He wanted his seat back when they started playing this song. I didn't move an inch.
I wish this band was more popular im 15 and i love DMB and hate all the mainstream shit that is on the radio now, music should convey a strong emotional message not talk about how you slap your bitches and drink alot.
Haha I love DMB too, but how the hell do you want them to be more popular? That's impossible. Their last FIVE albums debuted at number one on the charts. And they were the highest-grossing touring band in the world for the past decade. Like it or not, in their own way they are a mainstream band.
@KillMeNowVIII the only reason why their last 5 albums debut at number 1, and grossed more ticket sales than any other act was because of the loyal fans DMB has. It's the same ppl who go to the concerts and the same ppl who buy their albums. It's only a handful of fans, but we are more loyal to them more than any other group of fans. More people tour with DMB across the country than other bands
So you're saying a "handful" of fans put albums at #1 on the charts?
Big Whiskey sold over 400,000 copies in its first week. So did Before These Crowded Streets. Everyday sold over 700,000 in its first week. Either that "handful" are buying a hundred albums each or you're full of shit. And yes, DMB has groups who follow them around the country, but those groups aren't why they fill arenas everywhere they go.
@KillMeNowVIII Yea dude, it's a handful of people. How often is DMB on the radio? How often to people request to hear a DMB song? How often do they win grammys? (grammys are bullshit because they give awards to the more popular artists and not the most talented ones) I've been to at least 30 DMB concerts and there are a ton of fans with DMB tatoos, I have one myself. I've been to a shit load of other concerts and believe me, they are not as loyal or into it as DMB fans.
@KillMeNowVIII when I go to a DMB concert I always see people with signs that has a number on it, that number usually represents the number of DMB concerts they have been to. The majority of these numbers are easily above 50, I've seen many in the hundreds as well. I also see a lot of baseball jerseys with "DMB" as the name on the back, and the number is either "41," or "36." I've never seen any of this so abundant at any other concert. Many love DMB, but many more are indifferent of hate them
@tennisIS4pussys I've been to many DMB shows, and I know they have loyal fans, because I am one of them. Hence antsmarching, dmbalmanac, and The Warehouse. DMB has an especially strong group of obsessive fans, and therefore there is also a strong dislike of them from others. I just don't like when people pretend that DMB is some sort of underground phenomenon. The band could survive on just its hardcore fans, but it takes much more mainstream exposure to reach #1 on charts and tours.
@KillMeNowVIII the band does not only survive on people like us, they thrive on people like us. We are the main reason why they debut the last 5 albums at 1, not the mainstream. And DMB is def not underground, it's just not as popular as the shitty "bands" because this world if filled with retards. Look at the top 200 iTunes downloads, DMB is no where to be found. They were on it for a little while after their new album came out but that was short lived. Lady Gaga has been on there for 3 years
I still don't think that the hardcore fans can take credit for 700,000 albums sold in an opening week. Maybe Lady Gaga sells more, and it's a shame. But DMB is still solidly in the mainstream. The fans who get elitist and pretend otherwise are the main reason why so many other people hate DMB. I can't tell you how many people I know have said that they hate Dave "because the fans are assholes." And having been to so many Dave shows, I can't say they don't have a point.
@KillMeNowVIII I've never heard that people don't like DMB because we are ass holes. They hate DMB because they don't like their music. And you are kind of supporting my argument. But who cares, we know they are the greatest band and that's all that matters
This song will always remind me of a friend who was murdered in '09, he always listened to it in my car. While bittersweet, it's bec one of my fave DMB songs!!

You guys had a fantastic 20 year run. If the rumors from Recording Industry are true, and you guys do part ways soon, not only will I be sad, but I will be also a satisfied individual. Dave is for everyone. I have jock friends who listen to him and stoner friends who listen to him. Bottom line is, he is great. Just sit back, relax and respect the music
DMB is one of the only artists that sounds better live. And I say that in confidence. I would rather listen to live songs opposed to studio recordings for the sheer feel of the energy and soul that is put into their live performances. By the way, 2 people's computers are broken, cause the dislike button was hit twice.
to whoever said that they don't have soul without Roi--sorry but you're wrong. Roi contributed to the groups soul yes, and we miss him, but he's not the only person in the group that gives it soul.
