The solar activity cycle is in its deepest and most prolonged minimum in over a century. Even when you fly you get less solar radiation now than at any time since flight was invented. I'd be more woried about bird strikes, drunken pilots and the occasional terrorist. Don't the media do enough fear-mongering already?
@gabigowriel I was just stating a scientific fact wih the intent of offsetting some of the fear 'n' loathing the mass media put out there. If you _want_ to live in fear, by all means don't let me stop you.
That being said, that post is 2 years old and should be put in context. Solar minimum is over and output from solar flares and CME's can be expected to increase over the next couple of years till the next solar max.
