@papergaal It's called 'scruffing', a practice that young cats are adapted to. It's how the mother holds the cat, and they go into a semi-relaxed state. The fur there is thicker so as not to cause harm, and a cat's skin is naturally loose. No harm whatsoever.

@papergaal I happen to own two cats I raised from kittens, one of which was a bottle-fed rescue. I'm pretty familiar with dealing with them. It's not one of the more commonly known tricks, but if you ever get a chance, ask a handler to scruff one. It's pretty impressive how it nullifies them.

@mojosmadness2 zoos are for good they care for endangerd anemals raise money for enviromentle causes and teach stoopid humans about how cool and enportant evrey animal is to this planet.evrey babey born in a zoo especeley to an endagerd animal is a good thing. I know that they wher ment to be in the wiled but alot of times because of humans the wiled is not a good place for them.also alot of animals dont have a lot of wild left to live in thanks to humans.

true but they won't be in the wild which means in the wild there still aren't as many and when animals arent in the wild they tend to go crazy in captivity. You can tell when you see them walking back and fourth in the zoo.

The cubs certainly do not seem to "love the limelight" those flashes in their young eyes cannot be good for their vision. What a terrible life for these poor animals. Sad how some people are so dead inside that they can't recognize abuse when they see it.
