Rotation Mechanics is not a new concept. This style has been around for many years. Ted Williams wrote a book back in1971 called The Science of Hitting by Ted Williams. What he was teaching might not have been called Rotational Hitting, but the concept was the exact same. Ted Williams called it "the hips lead the hands". Where did he learn hitting? By watching the others before him hit. If you want to learn how to hit, learn from someone who played the game for 20yrs & last guy to hit .400
what if the pitch up high and the umpires are calling it? i let those go but now it seems like there just pounding it in that area about chest high inside. how can i hit that?
Beetle Bailey with LSU in the late 80's early 90's would teach techniques like this. He was way ahead of his time in teaching the mechanics of hitting.
@buckmark23 Um. Where have you been. This is what you call linear hitting mechanics, and they're terrible and wrong. Firstly, your Beetle Bailey taught wrong, and also taught what everyone else taught back then.
Rotational mechanics is a newer concept and it's how you apply the most force to a baseball. Go watch a good rotational hitting instructional video, and then watch a good mlb hitter analysis and you'll see no one hits like this fuckstick, and they all hit with rotational mechanics.
There is something I feel is even more important than where you hit the ball, its how you do it, which I don't feel he's really explaining. Mostly how he is using his back leg to torque around to hit it and NOT trying to open up on it, something i feel is just as important.
actually no, hes showing people how to hit a good inside pitch.
And why the hell would hitting a ground ball be bad? if you hit the ball the infielders have to make plays. its alot better than what you would probably do. (hit a pop out to 3rd base...)
Cover your mouth with your hand 2. Make a wish 3.Close your hand (fist) 4. Hold your hand at heart for 5 seconds 5. Send this to 3 more videos 6. Tommorrow will be the best day ever it actually worked This is really interesting: 1.take ur middle finger and put on ur nose. 2.say a name of someone u like. 3.that person will ask u out or say they love u tomarrow. 4. heres the thing copy and paste to 2 other vids
A much easier way to think about everything you just said, is the only adjustment needed to be made to hit (inside or outside pitch) is push the knob of the bat in the direction of the ball.

you identify the pitch from where his hand is releasing it and you open your hips up early
