I hav e learned that it's quite common to whine about officiating when you lose, The Flyer fans did it, the Cardinal fans did it in the superbowl.

You know what, that call on Dupuis at the end of the game was not a penalty, they just wanted to even it up a bit. Caps are still up in the series, don't make your team look bad by whining.

And the superbowl was definately called fair.

But I doubt the caps coach, GM, and half the players would call out the refs knowing they could be fined or suspended if their was nothing to it.

I don't care if we'd already won the series this is about fair play and no team should have an advantage because of biased officiating. Was it okay for Gretkzy to get Preferential treatment and Lemeux to have to earn it? I felt the same about that.

I've praised NHL refs for years saying they are the most fair in sports, but I see stuff every game that should be called and isn't. I can't believe you think Caps outplayed Pens, though.

Get honest, your goaltender is the big difference in this series.

I don't think I ever said that that the caps outplayed the pens. They spent 10 minutes longer then the pens chasing 5 on 4 so the pens are bound to have more energy and its near impossible for the caps to keep up. They were outplayed I just think they would have had more legs if they hadn't spent so much time chasing.

Calm down. It's a seven game series, Ovechkin won one series in his career. In this game he scored one goal on nine shots, and it came on a 5 on 3. He was also a minus one.

Caps played great but could have played a lot better on D. The Pens had a lot of chances but allowed the Caps to camp in front of the net hence the close goals. I seriously think the skill set of these teams are too much for either team's D. However, Varlamov gave away a real easy one to Eaton. Crosby just has an amazing shot so Varlamov gets a pass on that one especially because he had the save of the playoffs. The Ovechkin goal is too much to ask for someone to stop with a 5 on 3.

Ovechkin most certainly did NOT own Crosby, Ovechkin's only goal on NINE shots was on a 5 on 3, my mom can score on a 5 on 3....and she's not that good. Varlamov was the difference today.
