Autec Soft Cloth Car Wash

Autec car washes now are much better than this. Autec has a room in their factory just for old models that are basically junk(like this one) and even have a car wash "Graveyard" for old models too! I've seen them when i got a tour of the factory.

I remember going through a black and red cloth one a lot when I was younger. I thought it was the most amazing thing ever, lol

@mismag9221 The non-retractable mitter is just.. well, because this machine predated Autec's retractable mechanism. The other issues, though, are just awful maintenance. As I recall, there was also a pretty bad water leak outside the wash bay.

@Macmetz1 It's a pretty early model, I guess. All of Autec's newer washes retract at the end of the cycle.

No dryer... just a spotfree rinse. Soft cloth does usually get pretty stained in use; that doesn't affect the quality of the wash, but it does make it more attractive to use dark colored cloth. An old Hanna tunnel that used to be near me used a very dark blue; the Sonny's Baywash I have a video of has black soft cloth on the bottom of the rear brushes.

It's gotta be one of the older models. All the new ones retract the mitter. It looks like it's built on the same frame the new ones are, though.

All of them have the same weird looking side brushes.
