  • whats the name of this song??

  • WOW IS that truck hard to drive? i heard u need to have some kind of license to drive that.

  • @MYDICKISWOW HGV is the name of the license needed and yes they are hard to maneuver especially in small neighborhood streets

  • cant wait till i start the academy its gonna be awesome

  • shields and goggles when extricating!!!

  • whats hotshotting?

  • @hate1990me I believe he means the hot shot ground crews that work for the forest fire service and travel by foot to help contain/extinguish forest fires.

  • some folks don't appreciate the music, it represents the crying of the soul....great video keep up the good work

  • Comment removed

  • im a fireman for bush illinois volunteer fire dep, herrin illinois fire dept and summer fireman for chicago fire dept god bless all firemen.

  • That was the most boring firefighting video ive ever seen. Want to fight fire? Try hot shotting

  • That red car. Unbelievable! I would have gave him a ticket.

  • 1:06 - 1:20 What an asshole!

  • why though?

  • isit worth me being a fireman in england? as i live here, or should imove to america? PLEASE REPLY!

  • What if by Creed

  • whats the song ?

    Regards ,

    Romeo Yankie Alpha November

  • you guys shoulod take a look at european gallet helmets full head protection retracteble heat/eye shields. fits like a glove over yur head :D just to awesome:D:D:D American helmets have the symbolic old look but european are just 100% protection and if you see the french 1 their just gorgoeus :D

  • Actually my dept just bought all new karn's 1020's and they have what you just described above i love how the eye and water shield fold right up into the helmet very handy to have!!!

  • true but the fun part is in the US its the defender visor by MSA/cairns and in europe that has been used since the early 80's in the gallet helmet so i laughed my ass off when i saw the cairns website saying: ALL NEW dfefender retractable visor ^^. but im not denying that american helmets are great 2 before people start hating me =P i love the look for them and the history but you could get hit in the neck so bad with that and the european helmets prevent that ;)

    greats from holland

  • lol Yeah i understand im not hating on you either im agreeing with you but yeah the style of the helmet had not changed in years but the new cairns 1020's i have to agree with you are sooooo much better then that annoying water shield. anyhow greeting's from Ohio (*waves*)

  • haha okay do you possible have a link to the cairns 1020 cause i cant fin it nowhere :S

  • hmm i cant seem to find it either all i see are 1010's i just know we had a guy from cairns at the station with a 1010 and a 1020 unless the 1020 is like something brand new and dont have it on the market yet *shrugs*

  • @collin341 ah but not all european fire services use gallets

they are very nice helmets though i think a few depts in the us use them

  • @addicted2firefightin

true but most are just variations on it , comes to the same purpose ( sicor vf2 cromwell f600 ) all same full enclosure helmets.

yes correct i saw that ( not US iknow) Quebec uses them , looks kinda wierd seeing North american style gear with the MSA gallet on top of it.

  • @99GPSE

yeah we just got the metro 660cs with the defender eye shields they look bad ass.

    and work very well too

  • @addicted2firefightin Awsome i love the eye shields it's so much better then the big bulky one that eventually becomes wore out and wont stay up half the time lol

  • @99GPSE Plus they stay clean and dont get smoked up like the old ones did when you had them up on your helmet so when you pulled it down you couldnt see throug it

  • Whats wrong with american firefighters helmets? They keep falling off.

  • Probably just didn't have the chin strap on. They fit nice and sung, or atleast the one I had does.

    Take care,

    Ryan

  • Most of us don't strap our helmets unless making entry, and some up in new york etc still wont strip when entering(its a rule here to strap it during entry).

Also if your wearing it for a long time, you losing it. It can then fall off some time.

I never strap mine until making entry. Over all lose and none strapped is most comfortable with some helmets due to wight after hours with it on(to tight gives you a headache). are dose me any way. I don't have a problem with mine falling off though.

  • I know how ya are man lol..i never strap mine except some interior opps..i am a truckie,so i like mine a lil loose, but i usually leave my strap off nd rarely lose my helmet..just got hit with falling ceiling the other day lol,nd it stayed on

but to second that..its not american helmets, its just the lack of us actually using chinstraps

    Chris Grant

    Truckie

    JCVFC Truck Co92

    Mercer County PA

  • here is Austria we have very good helmets

try then and you'll love them ;)

  • Yeah, Oslo Fire Department (Norway) have good helmets too. Even unstrapped LOL.They dont fall off as quickly as americans. I actually see it too often here at YouTube :)

  • Great Video... AWESOME SONG CHOICE!!! CREEDS WHAT IF... CREED ONE OF THE GREAT MODERN ROCK BANDS!

  • You should cut the music out and give us the audio in the engine cab with that red car. I bet it was priceless!

  • if its any thing like what we say about idiots in our way then im sure it was...

  • hahahahaha yea. I can only imagine what is being said

  • hahahaha... i agree, i know whut i'd be sayin...lmao.

  • @TummyLover i got one wtf dude get out of the way cant see us r u blind

  • Very good video!

Frohe Weihnachten / Merry Christmas @ all

  • awesome vid. full stars

  • realy nice movie, i like the US Fire Fighters.

    Good job

    A german FireFighter

  • warum??

    leicht gereizt was??

  • At 37 seconds into the video, were is the guys SCBA mask. Hes breathing in cancer. Not smart. But cool video by the way.

  • in the begginging...in my department they put on the air packs and turn it on by themselfs. in the truck. is there a reason you guys don't?

  • Are you talking about the two guys withing the first minute and one is bent over? If so, it looks like they are just changing out each others bottles.

  • i love how people are so quick to get out of the way

  • 1:17 some people just freak when they hear sirens and a horn blarring

  • what township is this?

  • thats when i usally get on the pa and tell them to move the fuck out of the way

  • Agreed 100%

  • tyty

  • that sounds the same as the lads paid on call in ireland they just call em retained.. have a look at vid

  • sort of.. there retained which means they only get paid when on a call out... have a look at bray fireman brian murray on you tube and it will sort of explain it a bit better.. leave comments thanks

  • irish retained firefighters have it bad lack of men response times bad due to traffic but bravest men you will ever see...... checkout bray fireman brian murray on you tube its about two irish firefighters who died due to lack of back up and manpower

  • yeah no offence taken we have 2 types of fire fighters there is volunteer and paid.. paid fire fighters is compulsary and volunteer you have the option.. however the paid guys are always there working with us.. so no matter what we have breathing appuratus...

  • when i done my Basic FireFighter course they couldnt drill it into out heads enough that no matter what the situation you should always wear your PPE even if your not on call you should always have it in your jacket pockets ALWAYS..

  • if you noticed the guys that entered had mask on. The guys ventilating didn't really need them.

  • they don't die from not wearing their ppe. they die from not wearing it correctly. Sometimes it dosen't even matter.

  • i used to thought when i was little that firefighters are people who wear BOXING GLOVES and jump into a burning houses and box the flames. im serious.

  • rite now im olny 13 but i know that when i get out of hs im am going straight in to a firefighting /emms acamedy so i can feel what it is like to save people every day

  • lol im 13 to,my dads is a firefighter and thats what i plain to do

  • my dads a firefighter and its such an awesome job and its hella scary cause you never know if hes gonna come home the next day so its really sad when i dont get to say goodbye in the morning because he leaves at like 5:00 am

  • sry try to convince him to chnge to vollinter

  • being a firefighter was the best thing i ever did its the greatest job on earth

  • get er done

  • Whats the name of the song?

  • yeah man.i rather be a firefighter than a SWAT or commando,etc..

  • i'd rather be a firefighter than anything. the best feeling in the world when your helping someone whos in need.

  • I could never be a firefighter....but i greatly appreciate all the ones that are because they really put their lives on the line everyday to save lives......

  • best job in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah it is i love firefighting!

its the best feeling in the world helping people when they really need it, and saving things.

  • yes!!!!!

  • I agree

    firemedicokc

  • Im not a fire fighter, im just a soilder who wandted to be one, but i do know about protective gear and ill tell you one thing, if I didnt wear my IBAS im pretty sure i wouldnt be agreeing with jermyNkathy40, just cuz its heavy, dosnt mean it's a bad idea. Cant say how many times I was glad i had my IBAS on. By the way, thanx to all the firefighters out there doing your guys job. We appreciate it. I was 15 when i saw every thing and I thank you all for what you did. God Bless you all.

  • This is the greatest job in the world.

  • awsome video!

  • hey he is right we have all that gear to keep us from burning up so use the the gear it really saves your ass i am a firefighter that is the first thing i do on the way to the call is put my gear on and make sure it is on right

  • hey awsome video FF8 UJFD VT

  • Awesome Video & song!

  • ok jeremyNkathy40 RELAX for fuck sakes. Everyone just sayed there mind, you dont need to go sub comment everyone that said there mind. I am a ff in Alberta, and I get mad when a ff does not wear their proper ppe, but Im not going around saying shit though. Just learn to live with it, and that we all make mistakes

  • im also a ff from australia and im a volunteer we have to wear our PPE at all times.. we are also a CABA unit witch in australia that is a breathing apparatus.. but we get to choose if we want to do it or not.. but the one thing i have been told is to always wear your PPE no matter what.. and no im not having a crack at anyone but i was having a convo with someone the other week and they said they would much perfer not to do CABA because by the time we gear up they are already fighting the fire.

  • hahaha what a fucktard. I think he should try and get on with the FDNY, they'd reject his ass so fucking fast it'd make his head spin.

  • In england it adds up to about 25 kg, i don't know what that is in pounds. Thats just the breathing apparatus set, let alone our kit and caryying the hose reel AND a casualty when we find one. Takes some strength lol. I dont feel suffocated at all in it, but everyones different!

  • Exactly, everyone feels different at all times. And all depends on humidity and temprature outside in which how our body responds.

  • i am a firefighter it is not a easy job with all that heavey gear on but it save our butts i would like to see a nonfireman do what firefighters do he would not last 5 seconds before he gets burn up

  • about how much extra weight is on you with all that equipment and do you ever feel suffocated? you know with that head gear and mask?

  • that´s pretty cool...

But German firefighters aren´t not bad too

  • NICE!!;)]

  • I would like to see him do what we all do. He would not even last a day. Like what mynameislukebill said, we only use them when we need them. We dont ever use a garden hose because we need more pressure than that, and plus you probably wouldnt be able to handle a fire hose at 950 kPa so shut your trap and knock it off

  • In America you have a totaly different way of approach to a fire. And a totaly different gear and clotes. Interesting...

I am a firefigter in Evrope.

  • yo dynex, cops get shitty hours, firemen dont

  • do what i do both

  • Thank God for these great guys

  • nice vid keep up the good work

  • The Video Rocks!!! Firefighters are the true heroes. 9/11 We'll Never Forget The price you paid.
