Harpsichords are very expensive and hard to transport and tune.

That's an electronic keyboard in the video. Look at 3:23-ish. They're not so hard to transport (all you need is two guys and a pickup), but I don't think they would respond well at all to gigging, from a tuning stability and longevity standpoint.
