  • If Rody's voice were a Man, I would surely rape him, and eventually rape Rody too *-*

  • thumbs up if you fkn love the lineup for the Summer Breeze festival 2012

  • Convention be damned I know who I am!

  • Awesome song about the greatest band ever by the second greatest band ever.

    Top drawer.

  • Probably my least favourite PTH song since Kezia. The rest of the album is phenomenal though.

  • i have really started growing out of unclean vocals and shit, i still like a few screamer/growlers, like trevor strnad and a few more but the generic metalcore vocals are shit and i hate listening to it now, fuck btbam.

  • @MegaMUDBALL

I don't understand screaming. I've got very young and fresh ears, and I can't even catch what most bands scream about.

Except for PTH, but that's because I know their lyrics. :3

  • @CuriousJack420 i like unclean vocals, just not the generic vomit-ass sounding mindless screaming, i like a distinct voice to know that what i'm hearing is a real person, not a computer changed piece of vomit-ass

  • @MegaMUDBALL You have no idea how much that makes me sad to read =/ BTBAM is so amazing and you should see past the vocals (which I love personally).

  • @DETHKLOKization their music is good no doubt, but i hate their vocalist

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaMUDBALL THANK YOU!! FUCK THEY NEED TO DROP THE VOCALS

  • @mynameisroyb dont know why im going to say anything but, u wish u could sound like him, he writes perfectly to the music, what is there not to like? Is your masculinity challenged by listing to a man that can fuckin sing? Get over it, this is music and it ain't gunna change for you or anyone else who doesnt know how to write it.

  • BTBAM is the next level of protest the hero, PTH is like for 16+ years and BTBAM is like for 20+.

They are both good I have to say

  • @NekGuitar that scares the shit out of me that you say that, because if you show me a 16 year old that can even understand the philosophical points or the stories that PTH tells i would be shocked, also to find a singer/screamer who musically adds up to the band

  • @medic2009guy Hey, not all of us teenagers are stupid, just most of us.

  • @FourthHorseman666 Haha not stupid man, just truthfully having enough life experiences where you watch shit fall in the shitter and you don't have anybody but yourself, I studied philosophy when i was young, totally thought i got it, and i'm still young 22 but when i re read it, after being in the military it was just like :o I had no idea what the fuck was going on, didn't mean to come off like I was calling you guys dumb! didn't mean too my apologies

  • @medic2009guy I want to know what philosophical points and stories you're talking about because I'm into music with meanings or "messages", but don't know how to ask it in the right way.

So what the fuck are you talking about?

  • @CuriousJack420 Small little things, almost like a personal epiphany that you'll notice about this song, I can't even say that i'm right from what i'm getting out of it, or that anyone is besides PTH, look man its some fucking hard shit to explain in this little box counting my characters remaining its... fuck...its like a weird personal experience with the song where you hear things you never realized thats derived from the lyrics and your life experiences matching up, idk

  • @CuriousJack420 And i'm sorry that context came aggressively i'm not trying to be just trying to communicate some intangeable shit (like philosophy which is pretty much a fucking paradox) is hard and i'm usually good at helping people out but its so personally based i can't see how you'd understand what i was saying, i apologize.

  • I used to be able to sing like that, then I took an arrow to the knee. Also, on another note that isnt trolling, I have a few videos of Rody talking in between songs that are fairly entertaining. He is a comedian. Check em out.

  • @BrettCarusillo Saw them live Monday night, kickass show. (Didn't play this, however. D: ) Rody had a friend of mine come onstage, it was pretty intense. I've got video of it too!

  • So i have listend to a bunch of man o war songs yet I see no conection at all. Can some one explain?

  • lol i was just thinking the same thing, infact a propagandhi song brought me here

  • @brie842 what propagandhi song brought you here ? they rock. So does this band.

  • Nice thumbnail.

  • god damn this album has grown on me.

  • Protest The Hero,Mastodon and Gojira are the best metal bands from this decade.

  • Only Protest The Hero can write a song about another band (Man O War) and have it be insanely epic

  • @sammyboi11890

Wait, this is about Propagandhi, not Man O War

  • @ZMBpsyks Again, 3rd page of comments, top comment.

  • I can't believe I've never heard of this band before now... Damn this is awesome!

  • The Reign of Unending pop music i would say... So laugh then growl well try but laugh at them for they do not know how beautiful metal is.

  • love this song!

  • The beginning could easily be Animals as Leaders. Great!

  • @PatS1t FUCK YOU AND THAT FUCKING OLD NEWS DUSTY BULLSHIT FUCKING GROW UP ITS 2011 NOT 2001 THAT BTBAM BULLSHIT IS FOR KIDS WHO THINK THEY ARE SETTING TRENDS BECUSE ITS NEW TO THEM THAT SHIT IS OLD AND NOT IMPRESSIVE WHAT SO EVER SO FIND A BAND WORTH DEFENDING NEXT TIME OHH AND P.S. I HAD FUN CLEANING OUT YOUR GF PUSSY SINCE IM A DOUCHE AND ALL

  • @cobnutts Wow I love between the buried and me... No matter how old they are. Way to be a douchebag.

  • @cobnutts btbam doesn't suck

    you just don't like them

    learn the difference assclown

  • @cobnutts As to not be left out from all the name calling. STOP BEING SUCH A DOUCHE, MUSIC IS TIMELESS

  • Guys, don't feed the caps lock troll. It makes him feel important.

  • So now the real question arises. When will the instrumental album come out? Love Rody and all, but we need an instrumental album, am I right?

  • @ud0ntkn0w Totally agree with you. Being a guitarist, i loved the instrumental version of Fortress so an instrumental of Scurrilous would be awesome.

  • They remind me of a classic metal band with a nice technical feel to it. It's pretty awesome.

  • what program is used here?

  • Thumbs up if you would give up a testicle to sound like him..

  • @ISlapYouBitch I thumbed up and, no lie, my left testicle began to ache a little.... what in God's name have I done... the right thing, that's what.

  • @FuzzyWookie197 you have revealed my master plan to collect testicles.

  • @ISlapYouBitch ahah. You'll never take me, or my testicle

  • @FuzzyWookie197 We'll see about that!

  • @ISlapYouBitch That might just be what it takes.... Hmmmm

  • @TheGingeOfficial Even better! You sound like a god AND you can have sex without having kids!

  • @ISlapYouBitch I would Kiss some testicles to sound better than him...

  • @Stratorancios Giving up a testicle beats kissing them bro.

    PAIN.

  • @ISlapYouBitch I did, it doesn't work just hurts a lot

  • @medic2009guy I am teribbly sorry..

  • @ISlapYouBitch Fuck it, take both of them.

  • @ISlapYouBitch I would and I'm a ladee

  • This dudes voice makes me think of the modern day DIO.

  • @ottowaton everyone keeps bringing up these dusty bands that are OLD news FUCK all the btbam kids that think they know everything about music

  • @cobnutts My sensors tell me you're a douche.

  • @muskegorunner darkest hour fucking sucks theres no reason to bring them up in a protest video

  • @cobnutts Confirmed. Douche.

  • Some days I don't have any morals at all, just so yo know.

  • I feel like this song is all about Propagandhi.

  • @BlakeBergy I was at a concert in Oshawa and rody was wearing a shirt a man o war shirt and on it said 20 years of terror or something and before this song started he said this songs about this band and pointed to his shirt

  • PTH both lyrics and music are awesome

  • @kodyjanzen ikr and protests from canada i think there is somthing wrong there

  • Protest the Hero = this generation's Iron Maiden.

  • @venusfly9108 i don't think so

  • @venusfly9108 im part of the maiden generation (born in '74) And I love these guys too!

  • Sexy. What program was used for this? The video is amazing....

"Every 'fuck' is pronounced." Epic. Love that part.

  • Everyone should check out Between The Buried And Me. PTH AND BTBAM on the same tour would be the shit.

  • @mikhail718 If you like pth its illegal not to know who btbam is.

  • @mikhail718 You just compared gods to shit.

  • @mikhail718 I would able to die happily if I were able to go to that show o.o

  • F*ck everyone who thinks this album sucks, no, it's not Kezia, or Fortress, but if it was, it wouldn't be a new album, would it? Anyway Scurrilous is great, if you can't handle it than listen to something else, but you're missing out.

  • If Protest The Hero, Between The Buried And Me, the OLD Human Abstract and Opeth, I'd paint the walls with the amount of jizz they'd make me release from just seeing the poster for that show.

  • @halfmastmutiny thats an epic statement.

  • its like progressive.. punk metal.

  • Love Kezia, love Fortress; I cannot get into Scurrilous whatsoever.

  • If Protest the Hero is trying to disappoint me, they're doing a terrible job.

  • I did not like this song. Haters come at me.

  • @qpstrafe thats fine...............

  • @qpstrafe You are forgiven... Now suck my cock ;D

  • @qpstrafe its okay. we all have our own opinions :)

  • @qpstrafe Do you normally listen to PTH?

  • @Nintendodo64 No. I do not like classic singing style. Also the lyrics do not relate to me in any way.

  • @qpstrafe lol. I don't think this is the best song, but I love Protest the Hero. Mostly for the guitar.

  • Good sound quality, but seriously needs someone who isn't blind to put the words in there. You can barely read half of them because of terrible transitions, words not fitting, or just straight up being transparent. Great song, good video concept, terrible video execution.

  • @zbarteky I don't know if this was your problem but I could read them a LOT better in 720 rather than 360 below.

  • dude this songs about a band they all love anyone know what band it is? i cant fucking figure it out im thinking propagandhi dont know though

  • @bejohn343 It's definitely Propagandhi. Good guess.

  • Powerful lyrics, cant stop listening to this video.^^

  • OH MY GOD THE GRUNGE TEXTURE IS REALLY FUCKING ANNYONG I CAN'T READ THE TYPE. THE DESIGNER SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER OMGGGGGGGGG TEXTURE OVERLOAD. DUDE LEARN HOW TO SET TYPEEEEEEEEE PLSSSSSSSS

  • If i was in a band,i would dislike my own videos.

  • Last night i had a dream where I met Rody, Tim and Arif. We went to the park, chilled, and smoked cigars. It was fucking awesome.

  • 2 dislike = 2 fuckers

  • 2 people are ... entitled to their own opinions

  • Did anyone else think it said "Tobuscus" at 2:20?

  • @Creature184 No... ?

  • Greatest band ever would have more then 24,000 hits and the lead singer wouldn't sound like a tranny....

  • @TideFalconFan lmao cuz view count is indicative of greatness right? theres dumb shit on youtube but i think you take the cake for dumbest comment hahahaha

  • @TideFalconFan lollolol Well Rebecca Black's "Friday" has 104 million views and she definitely sounds like a 13 year old girl. Fame and how a guys voice sounds are completely unrelated to creating quality original music.

  • @TideFalconFan It has more than 24k hits

  • @TideFalconFan Unless by "hits" you mean "likes" and not views.

  • Greatest band ever would have more then 24,000 hits and the lead singer wouldn't sound like a tranny....

  • amazing

  • 720p is a hell of a difference in sound

  • @ninetailedhollow5 yes that's the point LOL

  • @0011023

    this song is about Propagandhi

  • some days i really just dont have any morals at all....

  • it's no kezia...but damn it's good

  • A calculated use of sound=Kezia=Fortress=Scurrilous

I like them all equally for different reasons, but Kezia will always be my favorite

  • this is the worst lyric video ever, i cant even see the words

  • @whitewalls1222 really man cause I see them fine, try adjusting your monitor

  • You guy's are a retards. This song is about Propagandhi. And the singer of Propagandhi sings in the last track. This is by far the best album, if you care about maturing or growing up, then you grow with your artists. I don't listen to blink 182 anymore but I used to.

  • @ronthorn3 thank you, same man.........I use to love blink 182 but since ive gotten into PTH, ive went back and listened to old blink and im like this is really decent at best...........like its not bad but its not amazing either............anyways fuck blink 182............PTH FOREVER.

  • You guy's are a retards. This song is about Propagandhi. And the singer of Propagandhi sings in the last track. This is by far the best album, if you care about maturing or growing up, then you grow with your artists. I don't listen to blink 182 anymore but I used to.

  • You guy's are a fucking retards. This song is about Propagandhi. One of the best dedicated songs.

  • protest is still the greatest band ever, regardless of which album is best.

  • @PlzHelpwithname I liks system of a down better

  • @PlzHelpwithname Couldn`t agree with you more man. And Im glad and proud to have found a band this good in todays music. I was starting to lose hope and think that the last of the real, talented, and soulfull music died out with the 90s like the dinosaurs. Prostest the Hero almost singlehandedly gave me back my faith in music. Yeah there that good. Alot better than system of a down, sorry solutor102

  • @downfallin darkest hour also is talented and has some meaningful lyrics. songs such as "with a thousand words to say but one" and "a paradox with flies". Still not as good as PTH, no one is, but PTH isn't alone in mixing talented musicianship with good lyrics.

  • the most dull song on the album

  • People need to shut up about which album is better and what genre each falls into. Who fucking cares honestly? IMO having each album slightly off from the last is what really keeps me hooked. PTH is fucking awesome regardless of what label you fucktards want to slap on 'em. I'm sure as long as they're making music, its gonna sound so good it makes me jizz everywhere. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go find a towel...

  • If Avenged Sevenfold sucks they wouldnt be making all that damn money and have so many good songs.

  • @bhmetallicafan Justin bieber is making money and he sucks... See ... a gigantic whole in your theory

  • @bhmetallicafan A7X was my favorite band but they made a lot of bad decisions (I think) musically. The last good thing that happened was them acquiring Mike Portnoy and had they tried to keep him - the next album would have been a masterpiece. BUT, they let him go and I'm not even sure they are willing to continue as a band.

I am now turned onto Protest The Hero as a more unique, better, alternative.

  • meedly meedly meedly

  • Me wants a video for Sex Tapes, Dunsel, or Tapestry

  • Me and my brother has been talking about going on a concert with PtH for years.

A while ago we ordered tickets for a concert with Avenged Sevenfold, then someone told us the guest band were PROTEST THE HERO! Blew our fucking minds :D CAN'T WAIT!

  • @MissLazeh lol Avenged Sevenfold sucks.

  • @theanimal6592 Then we disagree ;)

  • Its a great album, but a lot of the new lyrics are pretty dumb. I liked when the lyrics were as intangible as the music.

  • stop arguing which album is better!! not all people have the same sense of music.

  • This is song is totally a tribute to Propagandhi (also one of my favorite bands). Read Rody's Alternative press track by track take on this album.

  • Kezia => Fortress > Scurrilous

  • Comment removed

  • You embedded this video on your site then blocked embedding on the video.

    Wtf guys.

  • This album kicks so much ass, but Fortress set the bar so high, even for themselves. Fortress is so good in every aspect. This album shows off incredible musicianship, though. Also, all of PTH's albums are better than most, so I think I'm gonna go listen to them all in order right now and then go see them live in Seattle next Tuesday!!! METAL ON!!! \mm/

  • @saxmodeman88 I due absolutely agree that Fortress was kind of an unfair bar.. Haha, just like... the most epic piece of music ever written basically... But Scurrilous did a good job of following that up... Since Kezia, I don't think that Protest has made a song that has not given me the chills with it's sheer epicness... What an absolutely... impossibly talented band... I can't believe it... In my opinion, the absolute pride of Canada since 2006... Muchos love for Protest

  • @184Films I totally agree with you. I don't listen to a PTH song and think eh, that one didn't quite do it for me. Very few bands can do that. Also, the more I listen to Scurrilous, the more I love it. Another sign of great music.

  • Rody's voice = Face Liquefied

  • i like this vid and the graphics are like a acid trip but the lyrics are hard to see

  • Can't wait to see this guys again.

  • All 3 of the albums are awesome.

  • mest album yet. best vocals, best guitar work, best bass, best drumming. best metal band here up north

  • Comment removed

  • Can we be legit for a second though? This is the best Rody had ever sounded.

  • @TheRealFatassFilms dude how can you say that? of course Rody Walker sounds good, I think he's one of the best rock singers out today! but compared to Sequoia throne, Bloodmeat, Blindfolds Aside, and Divine suicide of K. i dont think you can say this is the best Rody Walker has ever sounded. I love this new album i just got it, its but another progressive hardcore ass kick on all of are ear pus5y's. but for me i got to say Fortress and Gallop meets the Earth is where its at for singin

  • @damonshigh

This is absolutely the cleanest his voice has ever sounded. It's his most professional work. You don't have to react like I committed a fucking sin by thinking so.

  • @TheRealFatassFilms

chill bro there's no sin involved, but from the comments above i think more people share my opinion.

its cool talking about PTH there starting to get some totally deserved recognition!!

Going to see them this Friday Apr 8, at Slim's in San Francisco F@#K YEAH

  • Lyrics: "Each word bitten. Every fuck is pronounced"

Tim from an Ultimate-guitar interview, regarding Sex Tapes: "One thing that we admired about Chris [Hannah] best was that he knows how to sing a 'fuck', so we tried to give him a vulgar passage."

    Definitely about Propagandhi.

  • i've been trying to find his morals for awhile now

  • fuckin awesome album very creative this is my fav!

  • this album reminds me of the style of Kezia. i love it

  • i'm start to thinking seriously they speak about propagandhi!!

  • @kingofmetal88 Propagandhi is one of they're favorite bands/inspirations. The lead singer of propagandhi guest stars on Sextapes

  • I'm thinking propaghandi

  • Nine Inch Nails becuase of the line at 0:38 as well as the part where they say "Twenty years won't end their reign", N.I.N started in 1988.

  • @A7Xcamo510 That's what I was thinking as well.

  • @A7Xcamo510 Its about Propagandhi. and They started in 86.

  • obbvs prop..

  • i've had this album for like two and a half months now...

  • I say Propaghandi.

  • So who is this song about? My first guess was Propagandhi, since it's a long lasting (first demo in 1990), engaged and loud mouthed, canadian punk band. Chris Hanna also does vocals on 'Sex Tapes'. It's really just a guess, but I think it's a good one.

  • all i can deduce is that they swear a lot and theyve been going for 20 years but im not really sure who it is

  • Is this song about Nine Inch Nails?
