I am an atheist and a Taoist. The thing in my mind is that when I use the term Jesus Freak personally it refers to a specific type of person. I know some very cool Christians, I also know cool Islamists, Buddhists, Jews and alot of other types. Jesus freaks are the people who follow their "belief" blindly without ever questioning it. People who let other people determine their beliefs and so on. If a person does not question their faith then it is not faith.

Christ followers have the most power in the world. Christianity is the largest religion in the world. Christians have put in prison and executed atheists, Muslims, pagans, etc. for the past 2000 years -- not only are you not persecuted, you're not nearly hated as much as you should be given your religions violent track record.
There is nothing funny about this. You claim persecution, yet your people are the majority, and the majority that holds power. You claimed the followers of Christ will be hated, but why would you expect anything less after your religion is responsible for horrific atrocities?
Roman catholic or protestant you are all 'followers of Christ' -- and you both have committed atrocities and have the blood of non-believers on your hands.
@garveya1 While I admit that many atrocities have been committed by Christians that does not mean those acts were condoned by all Christians just as the activities of radical Muslims are not condoned by all Muslims. Any religion or belief in general can be twisted to serve immoral purposes. Also thousands of people who are Christians are being persecuted in various countries around the world for their beliefs. In fact 53 countries have made it illegal to advocate or even believe in Christianity.
Well then all sorts of people are persecuted. I don't know which 53 countries you're talking about but they are most likely Islamic states or communist ones and I'm sure it's just as illegal to be atheist (minus the communist ones), Jewish, or any other religion which isn't Islam.
If you're from a developed country though, especially the United States, you're not persecuted in the least.

They are such a good band, in some ways I am not happy that they disbanded, but in others I am glad. It is strange, I love these guys voices, but if DC Talk didn't disband Michael Tait wouldn't be with Newsboys right now and I like Newsboys music a lot more with Michael Tait as the lead singer. It would be cool if they had a concert where Toby Mac and Newsboys did DC Talk songs the whole night...now that would be AWESOME!!!!

10 years ago, as a Christian, I loved these guys. Now, as an atheist, I STILL like the music. Hey, I can't deny it; they had a great sound and Kevin can sing. The message is bunk, but I sill like the music.
@christforchina Nothing bad. I basically just learned too much. I studied a lot of science, read the bible (all of it), learned about other religions, learned about the history of the bible and Christianity, found it didn't actually hold water and came away realizing I didn't believe any of it anymore. Never got mad at god or hated him, simply stopped believing.
I also don't hate Christians and I didn't come here to argue. Just giving credit to a group of guys that I think made good music.

I've seen many things that have helped me in my faith in God. I've studied evolution on my own time and I've found many loopholes..but looking into more science and other things I just see the beauty of God's creation. Because being born into a Christian home and even going to church doesn't make you a true Christian - a true Christian is someone who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior and accepts BY FAITH that we were saved BY GRACE. If you had ever had one, I doubt you'd be making these statements now.
Martin Luther is a heretic, the guy was an unrepentant murderer at heart. He added words to the Scriptures(faith "alone" is not in Scripture, it's a lie) and was his cry was "Sola Scriptura" but he wrote huge commentaries at the beginnings of different books of the Bible and tried to turn people away from teachings in the Scripture that clearly contradicted him. Reason is not an enemy of faith either.

Miss this group. Toby and Tait still perform this song with their respective bands. The combination of the 3 styles, personalities and timbre of their voices is what made dcTalk a unique band. The mix of rap, rock and soul has been often imitated but never duplicated like this.

@christforchina Nothing bad. I basically just learned too much. I studied a lot of science, read the bible (all of it), learned about other religions, learned about the history of the bible and Christianity, found it didn't actually hold water and came away realizing I didn't believe any of it anymore. Never got mad at god or hated him, simply stopped believing.
I also don't hate Christians and I didn't come here to argue. Just giving credit to a group of guys that I think made good music.

@FreeFromChrist understand about you not intending to make an argument. Some people go on christian videos for the sole purpose of starting fights. I've seen many things that have helped me in my faith in God. I've studied evolution on my own time and I've found many loopholes..but looking into more science and other things I just see the beauty of God's creation. If earth was a bit off it's axis, or if we didn't have volcanos, or if we were a bit to the left of where we are now, (no room)

@garveya1 - what made you a "Christian"? Because being born into a Christian home and even going to church doesn't make you a true Christian - a true Christian is someone who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior and accepts BY FAITH that we were saved BY GRACE. As Martin Luther (not King) said "Reason is the enemy of faith". Christianity isn't about religion - it's about a relationship with Christ. If you had ever had one, I doubt you'd be making these statements now.

Martin Luther is a heretic, the guy was an unrepentant murderer at heart. He added words to the Scriptures(faith "alone" is not in Scripture, it's a lie) and was his cry was "Sola Scriptura" but he wrote huge commentaries at the beginnings of different books of the Bible and tried to turn people away from teachings in the Scripture that clearly contradicted him. Reason is not an enemy of faith either.
As for everything else, great statement.

Miss this group. Toby and Tait still perform this song with their respective bands. The combination of the 3 styles, personalities and timbre of their voices is what made dcTalk a unique band. The mix of rap, rock and soul has been often imitated but never duplicated like this.

Yes, Noah gathered up two of EVERY single animal on earth and put them on a boat for over a month. There are over 40,000 species of land dwelling animals on earth (and double that number in insects) which would equal over 200,000 animals all together.. Sounds pretty realistic.

@Cmay68 It has been mathematically calculated that a "kind" of every animal (not every "species", since natural selection would take care of providing a variety of species) would be able to fit on the ark, with room to spare. Babies of larger animals could be taken on to save room and some of the animals were possibly in hibernation, reducing food intake.

In addition you are acting as a proponent of Macroevolution (something widely considered in the scientific community to take millions of years), and applying it to an event that allegedly happened several thousand years ago. Carnivores eat other animals, and generally do not hibernate. Your argument is tenuous at best, and at least extremely desperate, off-point, and non-factual.
