It can be fixed changing the BACKLIGHT FUSE.(SMD FUSE)

It's very hard to find here in Brazil this kind of fuse, if you can't find it, just put a normal glass fuse.

Doesn't need to buy a new psp.

my psp does work the problem is the battery when i put it on the charging station u had i have the same one it chargers the batter and the light turns green saying its charged but when i put it in to the psp it dosent turn on i charged another battery whit the same chager and it work i also tryed whit a regular cable one and the oreng light blinks once then nothing on the psp it shows in battery information 0% charged but a little down it says fully charged so i dont know what to do

Your best chance is to go to eBay and just buy a new charge circuit and put it in yourself. As for a temp fix, if this is a 2000 or higher, borrow a friends charged battery and turn the psp on. Go and turn on your charge through USB option so you can play, than wait for the new circuit to arrive from eBay

hey i have a psp 2000 and my lcd screen broke... i replaced it with a new lcd screen but the power wont turn on... when i flip the switch to turn on nothing happens... i then tried putting the cracked lcd screen back to see if it was working it wasnt... nothing is working...

somtimes ill put the hold, then wen i take it off it turns on... but it says its on hold, the lil key is on the top of the screen...

its only every so often that it turns on, i left it fully charged the night before

and i dun charge it while on stand by... i usually charge it while its on and im playin wit it...

any help? :( that thing was practically my girlfriend

@jaspervanz05 Same thing is happening to me. Try going to Best Buy or Sony and ask what to do. If they say try a new battery, go to your friend who has a psp and use theirs. If it doesn't work then sorry; you have to get it repaired. Mine still doesn't work so I'm going to get it repaired. Maybe.
