How about all the people that god killed or ordered killed according to the Bible. Did he love those people too? Did they go to heaven? Or did he send them to hell for eternity? If the answers are yes, and hell, then what the hell is love? Killing someone and condemning them to torture for eternity is as far as it gets from love in my opinion. Therefore, on moral grounds you'd have to reject both Christianity and Islam by Craig's logic.

God loves everyone but God cannot compromise His standards of Justice. Therefore wgile God loves all, not all will benefit from that love. The Way to benefit from Gods love is to access His forgiveness for your sins. To access His forgiveness without compromising His Justice one must believe Jesus acknowledge their sins and trust in the righteousness of God demonstrated through the Atonement provided by the Messiah Jesus.

@helasmoh It is not the intention of God for the sinner to perish in Hell but to repent and have everlasting life. You're wrong, God does LOVE EVERYONE. He gave us Jesus Christ to function as a way to redeem us of our sinful nature. However, we have a choice to make, either believe in Jesus Christ or not. An unrepentant death cannot bring you to Heaven not because God hates the sinner but because God is incompatible with sin.

This whole 'our god loves, you're god hates" or 'my god hates the sin, but not the sinner" argument is so petty. Psalms 5:5 clearly states God "...hatest all workers of iniquity," and Hosea 9:15 clearly states God "...hated them (Ephraim)," and God "...will love them no more." There are many more verses like these. God hates both the sin and the sinner. A persistent, disobedient, disbeliever is going to hell. I'm sure Dr. Craig agrees with that statement. It's called justice.

But John 3:16 doesn’t say anything about God loving every individual person. Instead John 3:16 says God loves the world. Unfortunately for WLC, the same argument can be made of the Christian god as described in the bible, with the doctrine of eternal damnation, the prophecy of the Lake of Fire, the cruelty of the Mosaic law (death penalties for victimless crimes), orders for genocide, the radical interpretation of said law by Jesus (such as counting as a murderer if you have ever been angry with someone), Paul's diatribes against women, etc. Thus, even if there is a god, he's not the one in the Christian bible.

So God should love terrorists, killers, women and children abusers, also Hitler and Mussolini to qualify as God for Dr Craig. The Quran makes it very clear that God does not love such people and that does not affect Him the least as God, even the Bible says the same. The real question between Islam and Christianity is the Trinity which was invented many years after Jesus Christ, not by his early followers. Ah yes, god is love. God loves "us" so much that he sent his chosen people and commanded them to conquer(murder and kill) their enemies. Then to go forth and murder all the male children among the survivors and all the women that had known a man, i.e. pregnant and married women and mothers. Then to distribute the girls amongst themselves as spoils and slaves. Yup, sounds loving to me. Or when he loved "us" enough to murder all the innocent first-born in Egypt. We don't select hadith because we like them, we select them upon criterias, the content doesn't really matter.
