The Ural mountains split russia in two parts: the part left of the mountains (with moscow, st petersburg etc.) belongs to europe, the right part (siberia, vladiwostok etc) belongs to asia. but in fact it doesn't matter, because the asian part is very poor and hardly a person lives over there... so long. The important part of russia is the important part.
And of course countries can be on two continents, even cities can: so is istanbul. A city on two continents.

There is a certain difference between the european continent (to which Russia belongs), and with the European Union (In Eu, some countries use Euro's as their currency, but not all of them ex. sweden). It Is very wrong to mix up EU and europe. You cant mix up a continent and a foundation you idiot!
