My snail laid eggs....one week later there was more than 50 tiny snail in my fish tank....and i am not kidding...After a whole month my whole fish tank was covered in hundreds of tiny snail....i had to separate them from the fish...so i put them in a different tank but they ended up eating their mom...I just noticed they reproduce themselves..Stupid snail now i cant get rid of them..Im NEVER going to buy another water snail EVER. Stupid snails invaded my tank:(!

just leave the egg there. It will dry, and then hatch. Once hatch, the babies snail will drop into the water.

Reminds me back in the day, I had snails and they never laid eggs, I had to ask the guy who sold me the fish to give me some snail eggs as a gift. He then told me what to do in order for them to hatch, however I don't recall that ever happening :(

I use to have an apple snail and it laid a bunch of eggs. They all hatched and there were hundreds of tiny snails sliding about, but in the end only one survived and grew to full size. They're cute as babies though. :)

My tank, standard 3 feet tank. I used to feed my apple snails once every 2 days. And easily around 1 - 2 months time, they will be ready to mate and lay eggs. And when they say laying... nothing will stop them. I got like every week, they will lay eggs!

Sorry for the late reply. How many snail or live stock inside your tank depend on your tanks size. The bigger the tank you have, the more snail you can keep.

Previously I keep around 60+ snails inside my 3 feet tank! Well, thats abit over crowded. So need to make sure the water its clean and they get enough foods.

Algae grows due to light amongst other things. A healthy tank will have some algae so dont worry!

When the snail are in darker golden color, size around golf ball, then its mature for mating and lay eggs.

Apple snail live well in a tank with or without fish.
