  • alright alreadyyyyy just do ittttt

  • hhaha i have that comb too

  • Too much explaining. I'll find a different video.

  • How long does it take to do this hairstyle? I would love to do it but I have a limited amount of time to get ready in the morning. (:

  • Poofy :)

  • I used to do the defuser way in the early 90's when i was clubbing I had side swept long hair not even bangs really bcuz it was still long like the rest and I didn't know about straightening it so I just had it curly, I'd get perms too but they would start to fall out and I'd crack the shits at mum tht it wouldn't curl up the way I wanted it too lol. she helped me tip my head over and do it. I was a moody teen haha. only about my hair though

  • any wella stuff dries my hair out REAL bad, worse than anything I've ever tried, so I personally CANNOT use Wella, don't know if anyone else feels the same

  • I loved your hair all wavy like this!

  • actuallly when u finished drying it, it didnt look poofy it looked good it looked volumized and nice

  • I LOVE YOUR HAIR! omg i wish i could get my hair to curl like that haha

  • I want to pinch your cheeks and kiss you. So good.

  • @lelausb if ur hair was already lyk that why would u be watching this video? Stupid show off

  • very good tutorial

  • hope to work also for my nasty hair:) yours looks sooooo nice!thx!

  • i really like your hair.

But my hair wont do that for anything ):

  • I havent watched your channel since you had maybe a few thousand subs but i have to laugh at some of the comments! goes with the territory i guess. congrats on your success. i've always loved your tutorials.

  • You are sooo lucky to have wavy hair! My hair is stick straight and boring, and it takes 2 hours to curl it all! And the curls doesn´t hold long :´(

  • gahh i JUST purchased the sebastian molding mud and i was sooo scared that mine looked weird and gross but then i watched your vid and now im relieved :) THANK YOU!!!!

  • look i just did it now with the diffuser and it didnt work good at all i had just normal curlsbut it looks good for u , although i have the same type of hair like urz it didnt work that good

  • :O

That just took a lot of time, But its alright! :)

For my hair I just use wax and Gel, Its easy,I have curly hair! :D

  • They changed the formula on molding mud. Do you still like it? I personally love it more. Kind of smells like pee though ha ha. Craft Clay and microweb fiber.

  • sexy omg hair hot best

  • u talk too much. no offense but it would be much more enjoyable if u edited some out.

  • "I hate that stupid poof"

  • Im growing my hair, and i want this style, because its 80:s look.

  • wow your hair looks crazy! i love it :D

  • My hair is like that naturally, without any products :D (;

  • My hair KNOTS after "teasing". It's a BICH to COMB / BRUSH after sleep.. ;( So, I stopped ALL PRODUCTS after my perm.. ( I STILL get tangles, REGARDLESS of the previous "no product" style. Any Info?)

  • @MATUSOWNED don't tease your hair. teasing is not your hair's friend.

  • I find that if you don't brush or detangle your hair first, your waves look a lot nice. Or for my hair at least! =D

  • LONG hair ??

  • @Burcucuk93 if its short it can end up looking like a tangled, messy, uncontrollable mop. dont try it if your hair doesnt a least reach your shoulders

  • does this work on any type of hair

  • hihi , this has nothing to do with the tutorial but i'm sitting on the same chair xD

  • I love this look.. Thanks a ton for showing us this. Great job and very detailed.

  • stupid curl... lol

  • hey does your hair hav to be curly naturally to achieve this?

  • i did my hair the same way just now, and it looks exactly just like yours, thanks :) i am really pleased with it ^^ x

  • Comment removed

  • I thought it was for long hair?

  • what if you dont have he curl amplifier thing could y ou use like mousse or something

  • yep, that's what i do. I just use mousse instead of pomeade

  • You have any idea how to make a neater hair style from your natural curly hair? Coz i have this really messy curly hair and i don't know how to manage it to make it look more neat. Haha :)

  • Thank u so much for this video;)

It helped me a lot.. Thanx

  • i wonder does this really work for really straight hair???

  • Ummm. when you put the Curls Amplifier thing in your hair and you started scrunching could we replace it with maybe like the Herbal Essences Scrunching gel or Garnier Frutics CURL SCULPTING CREAM-GEL??

  • ur awesome!! r u single? lol ;D

  • hey. i love your bangs.. how do you make it ?

  • Wow love it!

  • how thick is ur hair mine is so thick just its kinda hard to tell on tht video

  • ur soo pretty i love ur frecklesand green eyes ur so georgeous

  • why does it say error occured?

  • probably just ur computer

  • nice bangs girls!!

  • You don't seem German.

  • omg i love it!

it really suits u as well

i'm thinking of getting that kind of hair dryer

  • To get the poof away, dont use that circle brush to blowdry ur bangs, use a comb, hold them down and blowdry

  • ♥♥♥

  • ohh i love this style its sooo beautiful <3

  • i want my hair cut like that its awesome!!!! and im sick of straightening my hair all the time thank yoy soooo sooo much:D

  • Sort of looks like Michelle Williams back when she on Dawsons Creek.

  • what kind of hair straightener (i`m not good at englesh) is that?

  • i just wanna tell u three words - i love you....your videos especially the make up ones have made my friends ask me to do their make up...thanks

  • Really loved the video! Love your hair! I have the exact same hair and i got alot of tips from you! Thanks a bunch!!

  • oh my gosh thanks so much! my hair is just like yours except my bangs are longer!

  • I love the hair!

  • I have really fine, thin hair. I wasn't blessed with a thick head of hair. lol. Is there anything I can do differently to achieve this look?

  • great videos, thank you!

  • Almost none of this would work for fine hair. Too much of heavy products for fine hair that is also a little thin. Can you recommend something for fine hair?

  • thank u so much for this video i have naturally wavey hair also and hate flat ironing it straight, but because of your video i have an appointment to get it cut just like yours today. and what i did was to still photos of your hair so that i can show it to my styleist.

  • im going to have to try this!

  • I love your hair look. It looks really similar to mine, but I dont like what it looks like when I style it, but when a hairstylist styles it after I get it cut it looks like yours, so I can now style it like yours without doing it in a Salon. Thank you! Your gorgeous, by the way.

  • exactly what I have been looking for .. your hair is pretty much the same as mine .. love the style :) :)

  • das lockenzeugs scheint ja mal der hammer zu sein...!!

wo gibbts das? oder gibts das nur in der schweiz??

wär total lieb wenn du mir das verrätst :)

    liebe grüße julia

  • well how do you do it without a hair diffuser?!?!?

  • wow, that is a lot of product and a lot of work...but her hair looks cute!

  • I style mine the same way, except without the pomade-- i use mousse instead. Takes 10 mins.

  • how do you use your mouse im curious to know!

  • Out of the shower, I use Herbal Essences Totally Twisted and put some in my palm then scrunch into my hair (don't use too much or else your hair will be really hard) then blowdry just like she does with a diffuser. Sometimes it's too curly so i just use it without the diffuser and blow it out a little bit if that makes sense?

Or, if your is curly, you can just go to sleep with wet hair then add some mousse in the morning when the hair is dry.

  • this video is really goood =]

    abit too much talking tho

but overall i think its one of the best

and the curls are really nice and natural looking

    x

  • This looks really nice. I will try it on my hair. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Very nice!!!

  • I have naturally curly hair and I purchased the TIGI curls rock activator and I LOVE it! I always have trouble keeping my curls form being frizzy! ~~ thanx!!

  • YOOOOOOO

this is probably the best video i have seen for making waves!!!

    u are awesome

  • hair diffusers work miracles with wavy hair, I have been using one for15 years. I cringe when my daughter uses a straightener on her hair, she has beautiful wavy hair.

  • the hair diffuser is funny. i keep thinking that u can scare people at night! they might think it's some kind of gun or something. when attached to a black hair drier!

  • hahaha (:

  • i absolutely love the curl amplifier product i just put a dab on the tips of my fingers and lightly run it through my hair and then i put my hair up and let it air dry and i have really nice curls!

  • I tried this the other day. Looked AMAZING!

  • u talk alot

    :)

  • I'll try it when my hair grows back :'D

I got sick of my hair long cause it would be constantly poofy and wavey/curly and I didn't know what to do with it. [x

  • Nice

My hairs like that naturally though :p lol

    Kool video though :D

  • thanks!!!! so much!!

  • This is great, Julia. My hair seems to have the same exact texture as yours, the same consistency, and the same waves. Just not the cut. I've been wondering what I should do with it other than a ponytail b/c of summer, and now I know (until I get it cut short). Thanks a lot!

  • I don't just have cowlicks; it like the cow devoured my head. O_O

  • lmao XD

  • I loveddddddddddddddd this tutorial! there is no such hair tutorial on..youtube....which describes everything in

    detail!

  • i sooo agree! kudos!

  • @Lubbcookie ...i don't like this tutorial becuz she explainssss everything..annoying..!!

  • that's probably the best beach waves i've seen done with just a diffuser! btw who else thinks she looks a bit like demi lovato with that new haircut?

  • The haircut def. reminds me of her, but I think Julia is much prettier.

  • Reminds me of Demi Lovato's hair a bit :)

  • i suffer from the poof too . it sucks!

  • This is really helpful, thankyou!

just a quick question, how long do you hold the diffuser to your head for when drying?

also, my hair seems to dry like that but then it drops really quickly even though it is quite wavy. what do you suggest?

    ~S

  • Lol what you did with the diffuser is called scrunching

  • Thank you for this video. I've got layered wavy hair and I tried to dry my hair with the Diffuser but I always used high heat and higher speed to dry them and it always looked half pretty as on low speed and low heat right now. it looks like my hairdresser did it 2 weeks ago. thanks again.

  • omg, i would give anything to have your hair Oo

  • This video is Brilliant.

    You're Brilliant!

    Thankyou SO much!

    x

  • thanks for sharing this video misschievous...two thumbs up and god bless you...xoxo

  • so.........first you had to grow your hair long all one length. then you went to the hairdresser and got layers? is this how its done?

  • Your hair can be already layered ,

and you can add more layers like short , medium , and some long .

  • what if i have wavy straight hair?? will it still work

  • if u watched the first video she explains that it is easier if u already have naturally wavy hair

  • I need to get me a hair drier with a defuser.

  • Thank you. I'm going to try this. :)

  • how do you sleep.. do you put your hair up or leave it and how do you redo the next morning??i LOVE It. .mine is much shorter.. but i like it

  • Omg its so cute when she says poof ^_^

  • I know this is an older vid and your bangs have grown out now, but I think your hair looks great like this! It's amazing how that diffuser brought out your curl:)

  • Your hair is great and beautiful. I want to have the same as you. Great great and once again great=)

  • i love your hair . it's beautiful . And thank you , I shall try this at home because I do have curly hair and bangs :) i find it so much nicer when the hair is just simplllllly natural :)

  • i have the SAME EXACT comb .

your hair is great and i also have the same

    catwalk amplifier !

it is just like glue ain't it ? LOL

but , yea your hair is freakin amazing !

  • definetly gunna try this

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the same wide toothed comb.

    sorry .

i just found that really funny.

iiiiiiiiiit's a small world aaaaaaaaaafter all

  • I love the look and i understand about the "cowlicks" at the front I have to deal w/ that everyday- Im thinking of changing my hair color and was wondering what color yours is in the video :)

  • The number of layers will be dependent on how long your hair is and how thick it is. If you have thick long hair, you'll have more layers than someone with shorter, thinner hair. Your best bet is to find a picture of Heidi Klum with that hair style and bring it to your stylist. They'll add or subtract layers as needed to make it look as close to hers as possible.

  • ya my hair is curly enough...i hav it cut up around my face and layers like urs..and my har curls fine just with mousse..but i always have these bits at the back that dont curl as well as the front does...and then obviously they look longer than the rest of my hair...! any tips?? :(

  • I love ur hair!! thanks 4 the tips!!

  • ABOUT HOW MANY LAYERS DO U HAVE I KNOW U HAVE HIEDI KLUMS HAIRCUT BUT ABOUT HOW MANY LAYERS IS THERE

i need to know for my hair??????REPLY reply REPLY

  • its not like she can count each freaking layer!! Get a life and be original.

  • You really can't put a number to the layers. BUT what you should do is like what she said, bring a picture in and tell the stylist where you would like the shortest layer to be.

each stylist also has their own style so you can ask for the stylist's opinion.

a good stylist (you should always do this anyway) would discuss the look with you first to make sure you both have the same style in mind.

for her here her shortest layer is about the top of her ear to maybe mid ear level.

  • your stylist may also suggest a different layering style according to the shape of your head and face (to frame your face well and add volume)

    Basically:

    1) Tell the stylist you want layers where the shortest layer is at upper ear level. show a picture and ask for his/her opinion

    2) tell the stylist you want volume and body on the top

  • the pomade can last 4 years?? No expiration at all?

  • thank you very much! I was so confused how to get the hair to stay in the diffuser and was ending up with a giant afro that was not defined. Great tips!

  • Love this look, but, never knew how to get it. I always thought a curling iron was being used and then by the end of the day the curls loosened up to get the wavy look.

I need to get a diffuser and plan on getting up earlier for work to do all of this. But, it will be worth it for this look is so cute and popular.

Thanks again, I will be watching this over and over to make sure I get it down pat so much to do to get this look.

  • thank you so much! this is perfect! my hair is naturally pretty wavy and im tired of always straightening it because of all the damage it causes. so this really helps me work with my natural style. it really helped! thanks!

  • love the bangs very cute! i think i might try that, i have swoop bangs, but thats really cute!!

  • Would this work for someone with naturally curly hair? You know, make it wavey instead of curly? I have really curly hair and it seems like I can make it curly, or straight, but never wavey.

  • can u make a vid without the diffuser

  • thanks. i think i know how to style my natural wavy hair.

  • Yay! I have the perfect hair for this kind of style, I'm going to try it out as soon as I get I get my bangs done.

  • your have great natural waves!

to not get that bump in your bangs i suggest not using the round brush tho whole time during the styling process once its about 80% dry just blow dry them down usuaing a comb or fingertips to encourage them to go straight. you've seemed to have a good method but this might cut out some of the styling time:)

  • This took a lot of guts to do, and it was great! I learned so much, and I can't wait to get my hair layered and try this! Thank you! You are very attractive, too!

  • soo cutee!

itz like the only 1 thats actually beachyy

    :]

what if you dont have layerrs would it still work the samee?

  • yeahh, but it wont look so curly on top

i always do this but dont have layers

  • this is so good!!! thanks!

  • Thanks so much for this tutorial, it came out really adorable for you! Can you recommend any drugstore alternatives to the products you used? Target alternatives really, lol.I have really thick curly hair and I want to try this look but I'm broke, haha. Thanks and btw you are gorgeous!

  • lol I TOTALLY have that goody comb

    yaay

  • Wow. ur really pretty. I have really curly hair, so i just wanna know, wil this work? its not like.... POOFY curly, but i get big-ish banana curls if i just let it dry but its mostly Loose curls, but it gets poofy =( do u think this would work? for my hair, i mean.

  • Mann... my hair is like straightish. Has a tint of wave to it. But I seriously need some professional hair products. And this look really suits you very well. :)

  • you should try the curls rock leave in conditioner it works really good. it makes my curls defined and not frizzy and not dry. you should give it a try.

  • Thank you. You look great and are naturally pretty. I dont think you are wearing makeup.

I would like to see the style without bangs on you though.

  • Looks wild!! I'm going to try it, hope it works 'cos my hair is naturally wavy/curly and when it dries naturally goes frizzy. I hairdry and straighten all the time tho. if i just hairdry without straighten, it looks like an explosion! I only use professional products also.....

  • is the cat walk thing like a moose?

  • wait

so what do you use the diffuser for?

like what does it do to curly hair?

  • oh, and this look is amazing btw :)

  • how wavy is your hair naturally? like really wavy? or like slightly wavy?

  • This is great and i am going to try this one out!!

  • The tutorial is amazing.

Unfortunetely, my hair naturally straight, and I mean straight, there is just the odd flick sometimes. I've been really trying to get waves like yours.

    Would this tutorial still work??

  • I have the same problem. I have straight "Asian" hair.

  • ur lucky i have frizzy curly nasty hair it becomes tangled up soooo fast

  • Me too, it sucks because it doesn't get completely straight, while people with straight hair can make theirs curly no problem. I hate it when they complain!

  • i know! :D

  • This is so pretty! (:

  • Well now I wish my hair was wavy!

My hair only flips out at the ends of my layers.

So I only have a slight wave.

I really want to get a diffuser for my hair dryer.

    But the tutorial was amazing!

  • so THAT'S how you make your bangs not screwed up :) my hair was straight, then wavy and now it's starting to become curly so now my life sucks because it's very thick, very poofy and it either becomes greasy or dry VERY easily

so yeah. i need some hair help xDD

  • this is really pretty i hope my hair works with this style

  • luv this! thanks!

  • like alot

  • very helpful!!

  • if you don't want that poofiness, than don't use a round brush.

  • The round brush gives me the most straightness, I tried with a paddle brush and it doesn't get the hair as straight. It has a lot to do with how the nozzle of the hairdryer is shaped and how you pull the hair over the brush.

  • You need a smaller brush so you don't get that "puffiness"

  • wow this is really great! would this method work for curly curly hair as well?

  • If you want bangs like that, just tell your hairdresser to give you the "baby doll" bang cut. Your hair looks nice and I appreciate this tutorial because I get frustrated with my natural waves too. I usually just put a bit of anti-frizz stuff in my hair while it's wet and then just put big braids all around my hair and go to sleep. In the morning, I take them out and, ta da, perfect beach waves.

  • that is so pretty!

i dont have bangs like yours, mine are like sidesweapt and are a bit long. also my hair is naturally poofy and curly, so i dont know if this tutorial will work on my type of hair.

    this is pretty though :)
