UUmm....where is this samba from...it's definately not brazilian. Yes you do use ALL your foot. You DO NOT jump. Feet are kept AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE. But then again your video is titled Modern Samba.

samba is not danced on the balls of your feet. and you never hop!! that is incorrect. you have to keep your legs in the frame of the body, so that swing-your-leg-around motion she's doing would completely knock you off rhythm, especially if you're dancing to something like enredo. i'm not being mean to this girl, but if you're gonna teach something, teach it correctly.
