Seriously, the point was that this guy is just competent, when compared to Danny Stag.

he is not even close. Not just speed, but smoothness, feel, and oh yeah, Stag plays the whole lead not a skeletal version like this fellow. It's not his fault that most of the current crop of guitarists are a little afraid of their instruments. No theory just hang the axe at your knees and slam chords on it. He's a pro, just not in the same class as a Danny Stag.
