And also, after reading some of the comments, this is not a brownie. Its a migratory, "land-locked atlantic seatrout". This one has just been in the river for some time and lost its silver shine.

But I must question the choice of gear. A six-weight rod in a river like this, where there is a lot of salmon and trout of big sizes.

Could work in really low water, but definately not from a boat. This was demonstrated very well in this clip, sadly.

I´ve seen this so many times on this river, folks with single-handed rods fighting fish for far too long time! Especially when releasing fish, it´s just stupid.

To put this on national television sends out the wrong message

@VanligSvensson Yes, It should be brown because it going to reproduce or it's living in the river all the time. because otherwise they live in Vänern the lake the river ends in.

its a salmon not a trout, the jaw goes further back than the eye, and you can hold it in the tail, that you really CANNOT do with a trout
