Yeah, I only went to see this one because it was the last UP specially painted engine I haven't seen yet. I've now seen this, all the heritage engines, the United Way and both Olympic engines.
I hate George Bush he didnt do anything good to deserve this once again just goes to show how stupid UP is. I feel sorry for CNW and SP. However I rated this 5 stars.
Thanks, I was happy to finally get a good view of this engine and add it to my collection! I had seeen it trailing once at Proviso before but this was the first time for it to lead. I have now successfully accomplished my goal of seeing all of UP's specially painted engines.
This engine was specially painted by the UP for the first George Bush (H.W Bush) for his presidential library and museum. It usually runs in Texas but made its way up to Illinois for this Dow safety train, it stopped in several towns on its tour, including what you see in this video at Bedford Park. The train is heading out to Michigan but this engine is not going with it, it will be put back into freight service.
I wish CN made one for Barack Obama.
