  • First tip: wrong. It's wherever you can keep the bar as close to your body as possible, usually right up to the ankle!

  • a clean and jerk isn't powerlifting, it's an olympic weightlifting move. powerlifting is squat/deadlift/bench. C&J requires large amounts of power. LOL worst demo of a C&J I've ever seen, it's nothing like it. it's more like a shit deadlift followed by a reverse curl then a military press. shocking!

    B) Yes, he's a wee-bit doing a 'press'. He's not perfect, wow. I do the same thing, especially with light weights. Hell of a difficult habit to break. Maybe you should sue someone or ask YouTube for your money back.

    C) Many(most actually) coaches teach a flat-footed clean unless you're a competitor.

    D) You've contributed nothing yourself that I can see

  • @Sempertacsil worst form? maybe not. but being labelled as a professional and a supposed expert? That's where I have a problem. The clean and jerk is an explosive lift, and there is almost no sign of that in his example. A supposed fitness professional should know better. AND if he is not properly certified to teach weightlifting exercises, he should not be agreeing to do these types of videos for expertvillage which usually produce really bad instructional videos in the first place.
