Well doing the production of The Jungle Book. Walt wanted to use the Beatles which explains why the vultures look like them to voice them for this scene along with the forgotten character Rocky the Rhino as a Beatles like rock song but he couldn't get them so this is what we get.
It's recorded from the video I got as a kid in the 90s, so I'm guessing the video was made around then. It's probably just the recording quality making it look different.
I really miss the old Disney!

Thurl Ravenscrof did do some singing in this, but he was in Colonel Hathi's March.

The singing voice was Thurl Ravenscroft. The same guy that did the voice of Tony the Tiger.

actually it's not the Beatles, it's sung by J. Pat O'Malley, Lord Tim Hudson, Digby Wolfe, and Chad Stuart.
