EDGE! That's the friendly name. It's EGPRS which came before 2G or 3G, at least here in Thailand. It's like mobile data transfer tech and without it I couldn't live in Thailand for 5 years because most of their adsl is no good. I use my mobile phone connected to notebook by USB cable and get 50-200kbps downloads. 50-120 up. I could not live without it! Waiting for 3G...
WOW Traci - you have color in your videos now! ;) Nice vid!
I hear ya. I remember when my PC died. It made me return back to Macs, although I still had to get a PC laptop again because online school required IE... Was it PC or Mac?
Like Chris, I'd have to say the internet, with my laptop a close second. Ever since I discovered the internet, it has been my source of entertainment, my source of news, my main ways of communication and interaction with my friends and people all around the world. I couldn't picture myself living without the internet - I made it a part of me.
As for the laptop...going Mac was probably the best choice I've ever made, while checking every one in a while what MS is up to. And I'm lovin Win 7 lol
Do you access the internet from sources other than your laptop? Interesting about your switch to Mac. A friend of mine gets his news strictly from Twitter. What a different world we're living in...
Not until recently that I got an iPhone, no. It's still a shock to me that I can have the internet virtually anywhere - I can basically leave my Mac at home and I won't be disconnected from the internet. Why, I have it at the palm of my hand! :)
Yeah, I hear you. It seems like yesterday that I had to watch the news or read newspapers to get the latest news - now I can get everything on the internet, probably even faster than what radio delivers it...
Yeah I can live a day or so without my laptop, but not without any access via my mobile... How did "they" let each other know when "they" were running late?? LOL Guess they had to have a lot of patience and faith. ;)
It would be my laptop, I couldn't do without it because I make a living with it by programming. I also couldn't do without it because it would be harder to find raw food recipes and connect with individuals who share the same ideas with me. On top of that, I do most of my shopping, writing, coding, social networking, and business over that too. So without it I would be rendered helpless and jobless. I guess I could go live in Hawaii and become a beach bum and surf the rest of my life. haha.
I program using both actually. PC and Mac. I triple boot Mac OS X, Windows Vista, and Sabayon Linux. I could be a Beach Nerd. lol That away I wouldn't look like a pale white vampire. haha. Its 105 degrees outside so I am far from being pale at the moment.
Sweet! What do you think about Windows 7? I never moved from XP to Vista LOL. Program with Mac, eh? Need to change my way of thinking. Use Mac for design/video, emails (everything else basically). 105?? Where are ya? (Didn't see in your prof)
I have a question sort of related to this video. I used to live in Pearl City, but I was a kid and I have forgotten. Is there ALWAYS a good breeze on Waikiki beach?? I live in Florida now, and there is not always a nice breeze in the gulf of Mexico.
Hello former kamaaina! Perty much, yes. It is quite loud and has been this week. Probably due to Felicia's accompanying winds. Florida: not too shabby! Which part??
I am in Tampa. I lived in Clearwater for 15 years though, closer to the Gulf. Here we have a causeway beach, but it's still not far to drive to Clearwater Beach. I moved here because I had to be near the ocean after living in Hawaii. I lived on Fort Weaver Road when it was just 2 lanes. And on Pupu St. in Pearl City.
Yes, so sorry, there isn't a direct mic input from what I understand. Will try to include those hard-to-hear content in the description. Thanks for your kindness :)
OK, here's a novel one: guitar pickups. If guitar pickups weren't invented, I wouldn't have electric guitar goodness in my life... And that would be sad... :*(
Yes!! I'd love to have an electric guitar. It stretches my songwriting imagination. Been writing some rock songs. It'd be kewl to be able to play along. :)
Totally. In regards to watches, I couldn't live without them. When my battery ran out of my last watch, I decided to rely on my mobile and checking out clocks wherever I could see them. (Whoa long response to your 2 word one, heh.)
Impossible question, there is nothing like one piece of technoligy, it all fits together, i couldnt live without my pc, and everything thats working with my pc, like the internet and games and chat programs,
I love the ocean!!
