Common! He is talking to the "average crowd" which is always dumb (I am not PR person so I can dare to say this) so repeating over and over is essential - what else can you do if the crowd asks the same "smart" questions over and over? :-)
Send a smart unique questions only and I am sure you will get smart unique answers.
Oh boy, I can imagine how this job (facing crowds) can be challenging!

Don't know that I believe that - I have 15,000 pages indexed according to Google Webmaster Tools but only 500 according to the site: operator. So I guess I did get 3 significant digits... I just didn't get the 3 MOST significant digits.
