What a waste of great player.. I remember him on the Euro 2004 playing with Netherlands, he was incredible running and dribbling with elegance.. I am sure if he has an opportunity in another club he will do his best because Andy Van der Meyde is incredible.

Yer hes an Alcoholic now. What happend to him after Ajax was he got transferd to Inter Milan. Was an ok player there. Scored a memorable goal against Arsenal. Got a terrible injury. Was sold to Everton in 2005 for £2M. Since then his daughters terminal ilness has gone worse. He always get injured and he drinks most nights in clubs. Rarely makes an appearance. He is past it. Waste of time at Everton.

He put in a brilliant cross for Everton to beat Liverpool this week. Many Evertonians DO realise how good he could be, but the fact is (due to personal problems) he has never impressed for the Blues.
