I don't want to be a singer, I can't sing, but I do want to play an instrument. The instruments I want to play are the guitar, piano, or saxaphone. Which one should I start learning first.

@rennnsymbol It depends on what you want to do with it. Piano is a good instrument to learn for so many things, but guitar is a lot more flexible as you can carry it around with you, and it's probably easier to pick up other string instruments once you master the guitar.

hey, learn as many as you can. It'll make you a more marketable band member and there's also a lot of money in doing 'session' work: playing in the studio for people's recorded projects.

I think it's easier to learn when you're young.

learning it teaches you a lot of things and you only play it on instrumental solos. give me a break. lol. mostly you learn an instrument to develop your 'ear' and learn to 'play' your vocal chords.

Awsome advice. I started signing first, but I play guitar, too. (I actually like guitar better now, but that's another story.) It opens up everything and you can hear more parts. When I write, from learning guitar, I can write a bass part and sometimes a drum part, too. Depending on what you do with it, it can be soooo helpful. Awsome advice!!
