Okay my comment on the whole group of comments: It was NOT too big, yes the ground was a little wet, but come on, ponies are known for footing. He was being a pony and just wanted to be a brat, my jumper does stuff like that all the time when he's feeling good. I think you did a great job staying on, my only critique would i would have given him a quick spanking and made him do it again right then and there, but otherwise you did good. :) And I like reiners, nice sliding stop!

Hes a super jumper, but if he decides he doesn't like the jump because something might be hiding in it he doesn't even attempt to jump it. He just plows through it. XD i feel so guilty when my trainer has to keep resetting the jumps...

Its not so much the speed, because in the high levels of jumping the horse needs quite a bit of momentum to get over those high jumps. Its more like the horse didnt want to jump. Not that big of a deal people.

My pony would always charge at a jump and I was always told to slow down but if I tried he would stop or smash through it so she wasn't going to fast it was just the pace the horse wanted to go at the jump. Amazing riding well done for staying on great job ;)

you aren't suppose to lean forward when you are jumping.... leaning forward is called jumping ahead and that can make a horse refuse and the rider fall off.
