Just for grins I ran the recoil calcs for my Benelli Super Nova. With the 3 1/2" mag, 00 Buck (18 pellets, over 2 oz) from a 7.5 lb gun vs a hypothetical 10# rifle. It has considerably more ft/lbs of recoil than a 458 Win Mag and just a hair less than a 458 Lott shooting a 500 grn bullet. 2 oz is something like 750 grains! Got the formula on the Beartooth Bullet website.

Anyway, with the mag extender I have 7+1 plus the shell holders on the frame and stock. Lots of firepower!

I bought my 870 express supermag with Realtree Ap camo stock and truglo fiberoptic sights for about $490. You can pick up the black matte synthetic one for a little less. Not bad considering you can shoot pretty much any sized load through it without it jamming.
