  • q ingenio para hacer esta cancion!

  • everyone who says that this is before yannis was in the band is wrong, yannis was in the band at this point, just as the guitarist, he started foals after his old band The Edmund Fitzgerald split up, then got Andrew Mears to sing, then when Andrew Mears quit to be in Youthmovies (then Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies) full time he stepped in as singer.

  • Truth. They were billed as Foals for the show and Modern Art (is for Pricks) was released on the Modern Art comp under the name Foals.

  • how do they get their guitars to sound like they do at the start of the song?

  • This is foals but it is not Yannis

  • @connorgk this is foals and it is yannis it just so happens that he doesn't sing on this track only plays guitar this is a lot more like yannis' first band the edmund fitzgeruld much mathier than foals now

  • badass quality

  • creepy quality

  • Yeh definatly Foals esque, btw this is NOT Foals, Yannis said in an interview although he was in the band at this time he was not the vocalist ( obv ) but neither was Edwin.........But Close enough :)

  • @indielad13

Mmmmmm... Goatboy! Heh heh heh heh

    ;)

  • love it, it makes me feel depressed knowing that back then i knew nothing about them and they were so upcoming and now it's all different. New Foals is originally modern, Yannis changed everything...it's like he discovered something and he's very important (to anyone who is a fan of Foals). I mean what would have happened if he never came to be in Foals. All this energy he releases would have never been taken in.

  • I think the title was quotes from Bill Hicks?

  • modern art is for pricks no?

  • no this is definitely Foals but the lead singer is Andrew Mears. he used to be the lead singer and then Yannis took over when Andrew left for his own band Youthmovies.

and on a sadder note, I just heard Youthmovies is breaking up.

  • Thanks for sharing mate!

  • The song name is a quote from one of Bill Hicks' (R.I.P) last shows.

I love Bill Hicks and I love Foals both before and after Yannis joined.

My friend 'mrbagul' wrote a song with quotes from Bill Hicks...

I would link his myspace but I don't want this comment to be recorded as spam....

  • anymay i love it:)

  • its andrew. this is the old foals. andrew dropped out and yannis took lead singer.

  • It sounds like some one else is singing. This is not Yanis' voice.

  • its Andrew Mears the original singer

  • the old member andrew mears sings this. he left about a year after and yannis took over lead vocals

  • 1:26 he looks a bit like luke pritchard from the kooks doesn he?!

  • Thats cause normal is so boring.

  • your point being?

  • @naoutlaw6141 Your weird by thinking that .

  • Of course this is foals, can you think of any other drummer who could drum like this?

Jack Bevan is mah ma favourite.

  • A variation of the riff from the intro is used on 'Like Swimming' on Antidotes

  • It's a dan electro.

  • anyone know what guitar that is at 3:18

    The blue one yes.

  • Could we buy this song on iTunes?

The version I have is so crappy.

  • someone needs to put the hgh quality version of this up cause this is a amazing song XD

  • lol it can't be yannis singing. still, the music is amazing. i really liked it.

  • That's because Yannis wasn't always the singer. A guy called Andrew Mears was the original singer.

  • yer i know. i think i replied to someone else who was questioning about yannis :P andrew sounds wicked.

  • Actually the song is called 'Modern Art Is For Pricks' and it was before yannis joined and Andrew Mears fronted the band

  • That was the name of the older version of this song, and personally it sounds weak compared to this version.

  • On the 7" version it's called 'Look at my furrows.."

  • @TitanArumm You should probably know what you're talking about before you tell other people that they're wrong.

  • Is that yannis on vocals? Can't be right...

  • no its the singer from youthmovie

  • Typical out of foals tuness, but all good,

  • the synth parts in antidotes are fantastic, they are what gives the album such a softness, if you actually sit and listen o the music you will see how important they are!!

  • This song was amazing, i like newer foals but this stuff blew my mind...

  • EDWIN will never be pointless. He gave me the gift of wise words: "Never use disposable razors, kids". Can you argue with that? Can you? Can you? No.

  • the new foals isnt shitty, just not nearly as good as theyre early stuff.

  • maybe Foals should redo do this song along with "Try This On Your Piano"

  • they wont becouse this was before edwin joined the band

  • 2005? That was when there was six of them?

  • i have this on my ipod

    it can't be that 'rare'

ah well who gives a fuck

    it's pristeen. (look it up)

    x

  • quite possibly the best congestion of noises...ever.

  • Beautiful...just beautiful :)

  • id like everyone to know that my friend actually asked yannis about this track and why they dont play this. he said this song was played and written before edwin joined the band so it wasnt necessarily foals... yet. so quit with the little girl fighting. it's not rare, guy, just pre-foals.

  • thanks for that. i've now corrected it to rare to youtube.

  • your legally deaf!!! hahahahaha

  • haha are you serious? it fills the sound up soo much!

cant believe you just said that

  • lol well mabye i was being a bit harsh :P well on the album its soo hard too hear it

  • yeah but thats the "suttlety" of it, if it wasnt there you definitely would hear a completely different sound, a very empty sound, even with the delay and stuff the guitar guitars use alot...

  • so, what you want, a cookie?

  • Comment removed

  • so whats youre definiton of "rare" exactly? i dont see anybody else with this song uploaded, which is what the point of me uploading this is. wise ass

  • well it is actually a pretty rare song, only available on a 7'' with "Try This On Your Piano".

  • this aint actually foals. or the song originally wasnt at least. furrows of worry was written by edmund fitzgerald. back in the days when it was yannis jack and the lead singer from youthmovies. and possible more.

  • This is well Foals!!! Thei first line-up nevertheless, wich was: Yannis, Andrew Mears (now singer from Youthmovies), Jack, Walter and Jimmy. The Edmund Fitzgerald were made of Yannis Jack and Lina Simon

  • This is great, anyone know how it could be downloaded?

  • That was simply brilliant! What a voice andrew mears have on this song!!

  • wooo first comment! and from a dedicated Foals fan i'd like to add.

this is spectacular. thank you for sharing.

i'm sure it'll be appreciated by other fans alike
