  • this is true indie metal lol

    that breakdown was glorious

im sorry but it is very hard to take you seriously with like a violin solo.

  • i would have never thought that violins could be so metal

  • BAD FUCKING ASS TASTIC!! As Apocalyptica lost their individuality in my mind with the last album, where you could play every damn song with a guitar with no difference, you... Just fucking rocked harder than Apocalyptica has ever had with their cellos. I'll show you to all of my friend to support you!

  • This shit's insane. I love It!

  • Just bought this on iTunes. Loving helping you guys out, keep making awesome music. \m/

  • evolution to the heavy metal music catagory \|,,|

  • I love the electric violin

  • wooow!!

i'm watching this the.... time don't know...

    AWSOME PERFORMANCE!!! \m/

  • IMO the song is pretty cool, and the idea of using violin in metal is pretty cool, but the violin lost it's identity with all the distortion. It sounds almost exactly like a guitar. I feel like you should work on make it more unique at least instead of making it sound like a guitar; there is no point if it sounds the same.

  • Because guitars are too mainstream

  • Put down the Bass guitar and be a real man and play the Cello!! \m/

  • I lost my voice, my neck hurts and im hungover. Trash Bar 9/11.

Only one thing to do now is wait for Gramercy. Thanks for playing so fucking well.

  • you guys are AWESOME....i love this song and come to this page almost everyday....THUMBS UP !!

  • You use violins instead of guitars. That's badass!

  • everything is good except the vocals, in my opinion love the violin tho!

  • @HellectivicaCult we just released this: resolution15(dot)bandcamp(dot)com is our version of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday. we'll be releasing a new original track in September and mid-October. we are writing new stuff now as well. \m/

  • I don't want this band to become popular but Well-Known!

  • @HellectivicaCult thank you! we're trying!

  • I just saw you guys opening for GOE as well. You guys stole the show as far as im concerned. I'll be at your next show definitely, so we can actually dance this time. R15 redefining 7-string brutality.

  • @qwurtle thanks a lot! come say hey after you get out of the pit!

  • I saw you guys last night opening for Ghosts of Eden at the Mercury Lounge, MANNNN you guys fucking blew shit up!! I was very impressed overall!

    David.

  • @Daver869 Thanks brother! so glad you dug it. Awesome night with a killer line-up. Hope we see you again soon! Cheers- R15

  • @MyOwnDemian Sure thing! I'll check out your website for your next tour dates! I'll still remember what the singer said before playing your last song in that setlist: "ok, last time to dance!" and that random guy started dancing! hahahaha

  • why use distortion on the violin? Use the sound it makes on its own, i'm sure it will complement the bass and electric guitars perfectly...

  • @tsirosgoddammit we use acoustic violins on other tracks, but we use distortion because we don't use guitar at all. and we don't play folk metal ;)

  • @MyOwnDemian oh! that was a bass! sorry, didn't notice initially...

  • @tsirosgoddammit we use acoustic violins on other tracks, but we use distortion because we don't use guitar at all. and we don't play folk metal ;)

  • @tsirosgoddammit we use acoustic violins on other tracks, but we use distortion because we don't use guitar at all. and we don't play folk metal ;)

  • Yeah Earl!!! You should sub for ms. fabiani again next year!

  • Love the tone... especially from the view of a metal violinist, you guys are awesome. Probly my favorite violin metal band yet.

Just lower the bass a little dude.

  • @Iamtheheretic thanks man! you are saying what our drummer, kenny grohowski, has been saying all along! we quite agree, and are doing what we can both on our basic sound (changing our gear and so on) and through how we record. We are now working with Ryan Kelly (Opeth, etc.) to find a way to rectify these issues. He recorded our latest single live to tape, and that can be heard on our bandcamp page. you may like that sound better, it will improve! Thanks for listening!!! -r15

  • @MyOwnDemian Awesome! i checked out the new song, it sounds killer. the violin tone is huge and thick. Thats what i'm fuckin talking about!

  • it seems like such a sweet fucking song. but the mixing is atrocious. i can't hear any midrange from your violins, and its so smashed with compression, that its like a big wall of harshness. if you have any input on the production process, can you please incorporate some midrange? i really want to hear those cool riffs!!!!

  • Have you guys ever tried a Cello. I think youll have more ranges with that instrument or is it too big for you to play and do vocals at the same time?

  • @Jonathansernel1 our violins are 7-string, which means our lowest pitch is a whole step below the cello. our biggest challenges are finding equipment/technology for bowed string instruments that are comparable to guitar. but wait'll you hear our next release!

  • that was fucking badass!!

  • how do you palm mute on youre violins? that's amazing!

  • @aldricsuan: the bow technique i use to simulate palm muting is a combination of two bow strokes called spiccato and sautille. very occasionally i use a jete stroke for some riffs. all of these traditional bow strokes are modified to compensate for the aggressive playing needed and added string width by a generally stiffer upper arm and stronger finger motions in the bow arm in general. hope this helps, and thanks!

  • @donmuang76 thanks for the reply man! I primarily play the guitar but i'm taking violin lessons now, and to think that I could combine my love for metal and the violin is just intriguing.

  • can't wait to film your open rehearsal today at Rivington Music Studios \m/

  • The percussion is sick!

  • Found Earl on the Offical Thor Trailer at 1:04 check that boy out....cool.

  • Kabalevsky smacked Earl over the head with her LIN

  • Earl + Vannessa Mae

  • Fuck man, I Love these Guys. One of the most epic Bands, i ever seen. Thumbs Up !

  • Cool!:D

  • @MatTtackable I've played with these guys a couple of times. Very cool dudes and AMAZING musicians. Don't judge by one song, they have some incredibly intricate material. Super tight on stage. I'm glad to see these guys getting somewhere.

  • I actually enjoy the vocalist, seems pretty fitting.

  • I'd kill to hear these guys with a better vocalist

  • If this band had a better singer it would be the shit.

  • This is pure epicness. They took what cello metal musicians like Apocolyptica did, and made the gap between that and other kinds of metal smaller.

  • Eh. I can respect the originality of this, but as far as liking the music, I couldn't listen to it all day, if at all. It just seems too plain.

I feel that the only thing that separates this from any other generic metal band is that there are two violinists instead of two guitarists, but this may or may not restrict them from what they can actually write in the future.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's just the way I view it.

Hope it all works out for them in the future.

  • yoo maneein wow...dats all i can say lmlz...juss wait till i tell every1 in skool...sheesh wow

  • i did not think that violins could be downtuned that much....

Damn i thought this was guitars first time i heard this...

  • @narutoson666 we're playing at the lit lounge in new york city this tuesday sept. 7, 8pm.

  • this band is beast

  • it would be better if the vocals were more death ^^

    but it's not bad

  • Omg, i cant believe how talented these guys are. I disnt notice the rythym wasnt a guitar till half way through..... 5/5 damn.

  • to what tuning are the violins?

  • Comment removed

  • @narutoson666 we're playing at the lit lounge in new york city this tuesday sept. 7, 8pm.

  • @earlmaneein Hi Earl. Nice playing. What kind of strings do you use ? I would presume E to C are violin/viola strings, but what about the F and Bb ?

  • @jceiras supersensitive makes f and Bb strings, under the "sensicore" flagship.
