  • Do You Know God by Name?

THE true God tells us in his written Word, the Bible: “I am Yehowah. That is my name.” (Isaiah 42:8) Although he also has many titles, such as “Creator,” “Almighty,” and “Sovereign Lord,” he has always honored his loyal servants by letting them address him by his personal name.

knowing God’s name Yehowah must embrace a wealth of meaning, since it is a key factor in receiving God’s protection.

  • @SuperPricil .. ALLAH, there is no other god except one God... ALLAH.. HE is the living and the everlasting..

  • @ibroni4real

Allah means God ! but is a title like president ,doctor, professor but Allah is not a not a name.

what is God's name ? Ask to your Imam . And let me know what is answering.

  • @SuperPricil How can be even close to a title like that!? Allah is the same as God, but you can't the the word Allah plural. There can't be 'Allahs' like you can make God plural, or any of the other titles you chose as examples. Simple fact of language. Gods, presidents, doctors, professors, but linguistically speaking, there is no such word, 'Allahs'. It's not a title. English 'Lords' have titles. 'Lord', 'Lords'. Plural. It's not a title.

  • @SuperPricil The God that Christians, Jews, and Muslims believe is the same God. A lot of people don't realize it but it it's is. Allah, God, has 99 names. The Bible, Torah, and Quran are all books of God. But unfortunately parts of the Torah and Bible have been altered. Only the Quran hasn't been changed by man, and if you don't believe me research it..

  • @Edgeofreallity

It is not the same God . Do you know the real name of God ?

Interesting to know that you say that the Torah and the Gospel are all books of God !

Than why you say that these books they have been changed ?

    How could this happen!

Are you saying that God is no longer able to protect his word ?

Do You know that you're blaspheming God ? Instaed to repeat the word of the Imams , why you don't do a nice rerserch . Tell to them where the Bible has ben changed! Bring me the proof

  • @SuperPricil Allah is the same God as the Christians and Jews believe in! They are people of the book, God's books. I'm not saying that God is unable to protect his books, he willed for them to be changed. God can protect his followers from harm, but does that mean he will keep them from inevitable death? I am *not* blaspheming God, and would never do such a thing! I am *not* just repeating the words of Imams. Instead of repeat the words of priests, why don't you do some research?

  • @Edgeofreallity

Allah It is not the same God of Moses and Jesus. why ?

Allah is a pre-Islamic name coming from the compound Arabic word Al-ilah which means the God, which is derived from al (the) ilah (deity).Allah was already being worshipped at the Ka'ba in Mecca by Arab pagans before Mohammed came. Allah was then known as the Moon God, who had 3 daughters who were viewed as intercessors for the people into Allah. ( See Arabs flag use to have moon).

  • @SuperPricil What kind of Diluted Theory is that; That Allah is a moon god. My Friend it's Clearly, and with out doubt, says in the Quran "And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not bow down (prostrate) to the sun nor to the moon, but only bow down (prostrate) to "Allah" Who created them, if you (really) worship Him." [Noble Quran 41:37]. so my friend this is just another lie to defame Islam and Muslim.

  • @muslim1ahmed

Make it a personal study, it is important for you to know the truth .

Allah was in the Quran is that his listeners had already heard about Allah long before Muhammad was ever born (Mohammedanism: An Historical Survey, New York: Mentor Books, 1955, p.38).

In Arabia, the sun god was viewed as a female goddess and the moon as the male god. As has been pointed out by many scholars such as Alfred Guilluame, the moon god was called by various names, one of which was Allah!

  • Allah means god, ilah means many gods, allah is the singular form of god, the pagan arabs belived there was one god but also made idols as sub gods. You are correct the name Allah was around along time before the prophet mohammed (saas) because the arab christian called god Allah as Allah is also the arabic word for God, so even the jews would have also called God Allah, even now days if you see a bible written in arabic, they write Allah for God :)

  • @angelsDOexist4eva Right on! That's part of the point I was about to make!

  • so Allah sent down the verse in quran to correct the people saying "And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not bow down (prostrate) to the sun nor to the moon, but only bow down (prostrate) to "Allah" Who created them, if you (really) worship Him." [Noble Quran 41:37], the people were worshiping the moon and stars since the prophet Abraham (as) time. so Allah corrected them

  • @SuperPricil Ah, you see yes, the word was around, *but* in a polytheistic nature. Islam is monotheistic, one god. And most definitely *not* the god of the moon. What you did was trace the lineage of the Arabic word Allah. I can do the same with the English word God to say that it may have come from Nordic pagan languages. Same with one of the Hebrew words for God, Elah. Allah, Ellah. Pretty similar, eh?

  • @SuperPricil I refer you to the comments that angelsDoexist4eva left in regards to this conversation.

  • ALL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS ARE FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM EXCEPT THE DUFF!!

  • Edgeofreality please read the biographie of the prophete salalahou ahleyhi wa salam no abrevation please ! And read the sourate 31 ayat 6 !

  • @Aboubakr93240 Sura 31(Sura Luqman), Ayat 6: "But there are, among men, Those who purchase idle tales, Without knowledge or (or meaning), To mislead (men) from the Path Of Allah and throw ridicule (On the Path): for such There will be a humiliating Chastisement." - I see what you're driving at but the story I told, (Allah forgive me if I'm wrong), is true, no doubt.

  • @Aboubakr93240 Which biography do you mean? It depends on who wrote it what's emphasized and what's played down. What gets left in and what gets taken out. Read them all.

P.S. The only reason I used an *abbreviation* was because I didn't have much room to write what I needed to otherwise, and I've seen an Abrev. used many time before.

  • no instrument is haram !!!

  • @Aboubakr93240 Actually, during the Time Prophet Muhammad (saw), I believe it was Abu Bakr, saw a group Muslims playing music around a fire, and he got angry and wanted to go over an stop them from playing their music. The Prophet (saw) told him to leave them alone, it's fine, it's a cultural thing, they're not doing anything wrong. You'll want to ask a few more people about this story as well, I don't know how well I told it. But no, music isn't haram but I discouraged. Try to be in the middle

  • @Edgeofreallity do you know why the prophet (peace be upon him) said that,it is becaause the music they were playing was pure it did not have swear words ,sex words and they were not about crap things like love and they did not brainwash peoples brains, first learn the story then learn the interpatition then come and say the story when you have learned it proparlly.and yes almost every music is haram .excapt the music for Allah.

  • @12345kingme Well there are always two sides to this point, (and everyone for that matter), but it's best to try to stay in the middle. You can't be to harsh and you can't be to lenient. I'm sure there are some types of music and songs that are haram, as I'm equally sure that there are some that are perfectly fine, and some questionable. I personally try to stay in the middle and not push to people to hard. You push to hard they go off the path, to softly and they off anyway. Try to stay middle

  • @12345kingme Pt.2 I have read the story, more than once and have heard it from more than one source, done my research and listened to all sorts of meanings and different interpretations of this and other stories and examples, and have tried come to the conclusion that no, not all music is bad. Not even close. Depends. When you try to make a decision on something like this, you have to look at Islamic teachings as a whole, and not just a single point which usually means staying in the middle...

  • @12345kingme @12345kingme Pt.3 ...and not being to harsh. A modern example of good music is Yusef Islam (formerly Cat Stevens before he became Muslim). Like this song he made as Cat: Cat Stevens - The Wind

And this version re-done as Yusef: Yusuf Islam - The Wind

You try telling me that's bad...

Like I said though, you have to look at things as a whole and not a specific part taken out of context to be able to make good judgments.

  • @Edgeofreallity yes i am saying that it is haram.

  • @Edgeofreallity yes and no .the one that are about islam and Allah and the prophet are good but the rest is haram

  • @12345kingme Another thing though, unrelated to the main idea of the conversation. What's so 'crap' about love? You love the Prophet don't you? You love Allah? You love you mother, your father, sisters, brothers, you wife, your children, you family, friends, even your pets! I don't know if that came across the way you meant it too, but if it did re-learn the definition of love. Allah gave it to us for a reason, so why not sing about it? The word Islam literally means Peace and with peace is love

  • @Edgeofreallity the love for you family is diiferent ,the love forallah can not be compared but the songs these days are full of crap about love which is sickning ,it brain washes people ,the reason people have boyfriend and girlfriend is mostly cause of these songs and i am sure you know it is haram to have relation with a girl before your marriage that is if you are muslim.and The wrong is that you are stupid enough to campere the love of Allah and prophet to the stupidty of other humans

  • @12345kingme Well of course I know that! And besides I wasn't comparing the love of Allah to that of family, but I'm referring to love in general. I'm afraid though I must disagree with your opinion about how songs are for the most part the cause physical relations out of wedlock. It was like this in the time of Jahalia 1400 years ago, and I doubt that today's music could be held accountable. It's not the music, it's peoples actions & ignorance.

  • @12345kingme Pt.2 Besides, how would you or anyone but Allah know what's in those people hearts? For all we know they could be some of the best people we'd ever meet. Only Allah knows. And what you said about it being haram to have relations with a woman before marriage, yes, I agree completely, it is haram to have *sexual* relations before wed, but it's not haram to get to know who it is you're planning on marrying.

  • @Edgeofreallity and one more thing we as muslims do not like pets ,spicially animels with four legs ,including cats, dogs

  • @12345kingme Not true my friend! All of the prophets were sheepherders, and sheep are pets. Abu Huraira, Father of the Cat, *always* had a cat with him. A horse is a pet (albeit a beast of burden, but still). Do you seriously believe that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him didn't keep pets? Or any of his companions? Abu Bakr kept cats! History 101, man, read up on it. (I'm sure I need to as well, but at least I know that Islam allows pets!)

  • @12345kingme Alright, that leads me to a conclusion, let's end this conversation, and go and do our Islamic homework. The blood of a Scholar is the most precious to Allah. The first thing that the angel Jibril told Muhammad peace be upon him was "Read!". So let's follow suite, shall we?
