Secondly, Native Americans that live on many reservations are dirt poor, making less than 5000$ a year, with the highest poverty rates in the USA (the 8 poorest counties are on reservation lands). Thirdly, unemployment rates are extremely high, up to 70% on many of them. The gov't is only providing welfare type food.

Cenk completely missed the mark here on Stossel's point. Stossel did an hour long episode on this and nowhere did he trivialize the fact that the US raped Native American tribes. He admits that. He also goes on to show that the "help" we give to recognized tribes is the greatest oppression to their prosperity.

Stossel's point is that the money and resources Native Americans receive from the government keep them poor. He does not comment on whether they deserve the money and resources. Any thoughts?
Cenk Uygur is very disingenuous here. He starts off by saying that the bank bailouts were "no big deal at all", in what I assume is him paraphrasing John Stossel. Had he watched the "Freeloaders" show, he would have seen that Stossel called corporate America the biggest freeloaders of them all. He clearly chooses to ignore John Stossel's point here. This guy is not a real journalist, and his MSNBC ratings reflect this fact. Maybe if he told the truth FNC would not have 3 times as many viewers.
What a complete misrepresentation of the facts. Stossel never said that the Native Americans have been getting the most help. He was stating the fact that these programs while having good intentions have bad results(which is a fact). If you listen on further in the episode he even goes on to say that when it comes to subsidies its usually the rich who profit the most. (Once again that is a fact). Its people like you who are ruining this country with their naivety.
Good intentions mean very little if the results are disastrous. If you let the free market work, it will stop big business from using the government to enact laws and regulations that make the businesses richer and at the same time it will also provide the poor with an incentive to actually succeed in life.
Why do you have a problem with Indian reservations Cenk??? Man you twisted this Stossel video so bad! I thought you were better than this. Why dont you talk about how the Native Americans dont like Obama? Or how Native American Civil Rights activist Russel Means endorsed Ron Paul a Libertarian like Stossel.

BB&T is a bank that did not fail during the economic crisis and initially refused a bailout. But the government forced even successful banks to take bailouts to refrain from being accused of crony capitalism. Even banks should not take government money. Lol, this is retarded. Native American reservations are on the worst lands, they gov't stuffed more than one tribe on most reservations, many of which did not get along. Secondly, Native Americans that live on many reservations are dirt poor, making less than 5000$ a year, with the highest poverty rates in the USA (the 8 poorest counties are on reservation lands). Thirdly, unemployment rates are extremely high, up to 70% on many of them. The gov't is only providing welfare type food.

The Feds can turnover all Resources on these Reservations and let Tribes/Native Businesses their resources and therefore can make their own profits. With gov't "help", come rules and guidelines and strings.

@IncredibleHulkey - Government workers work for their money.....really......when i was on the job last week we had some gov "workers" come in and help with the regs etc.there were 12 people that were paid to stand around all day and did very very little..never breaking a sweat or getting dirt on them...Government employees are all around the tribal communities doing jack shit with their titles....than leave for their little homes every day...while the natives are "sucking up all the money"...

Cenk Uygur is very disingenuous here. He starts off by saying that the bank bailouts were "no big deal at all", in what I assume is him paraphrasing John Stossel. Had he watched the "Freeloaders" show, he would have seen that Stossel called corporate America the biggest freeloaders of them all. He clearly chooses to ignore John Stossel's point here. This guy is not a real journalist, and his MSNBC ratings reflect this fact. Maybe if he told the truth FNC would not have 3 times as many viewers.

What a complete misrepresentation of the facts. Stossel never said that the Native Americans have been getting the most help. He was stating the fact that these programs while having good intentions have bad results(which is a fact). If you listen on further in the episode he even goes on to say that when it comes to subsidies its usually the rich who profit the most. (Once again that is a fact). Its people like you who are ruining this country with their naivety.

Good intentions mean very little if the results are disastrous. If you let the free market work, it will stop big business from using the government to enact laws and regulations that make the businesses richer and at the same time it will also provide the poor with an incentive to actually succeed in life.
