It's amazing to me how much she sounds like Christina Aguilera. I know a million people have said it but it's interesting to me. I don't believe that she's trying to be like Christina. It is possible that she's influenced by her. Which IMO is cool. Lot's of artists (that's singers/writers/actors/painter­s etc) are influenced by other. But I feel like she sounds too much like her. It's just really odd to me. I think I'll stick to Christina for my pop music fix.

LibertineDeSade, I am an aspiring singer, and u study other singers that u want to sound like--so it's purposely done. I study the artist I want to sound like. But, u should not study just one singer, bc that's copying someone's style. U should study many singers and add yourself in it. Thr is already 1 Christina Aguilera already, 1 Whitney Houston, etc...But, at least she's a good copy and she seems dedicated and sweet!

I've been singing for 13 years (opera) and I was never taught to studying singers you want to sound like. I know each coach has different ways of teaching so I'm not doubting you. But I don't agree with that philosophy. You should just sing and not worry about sounding like someone else. You never know, you may have this incredible, unique voice but the world will never hear it because you're too busy sounding like someone else.
