Brilliant Video - really like your photography too - I'm a photographer as well and have a couple of slide shows too (check them out if you like but won't spam you with the url) - keep up the great work :)
Thanks a million kishkasay. Only a person who battles chronic depression on a daily basis can understand. Thanks a million for the beautiful video and plz keep them coming!
Wow, I guess I just find it surprising since all of his songs were so upbeat and every single one of them mentioned something to be admired about life (like, the rocky mountains, etc.) Now also the suicide theory of that plane crash that killed him has potential...
I married someone with depression.I had a beautiful daughter who suffers deaply from that relationship, no matter how much i tried to relate, now matter how much i showed i care, it didnt matter becouse i didnt know how deep the pain & or why the pain, i just tried & tried. I love life, my child makes me look for a positive future. i need a magical word for my ex wife to make her see a future.
Can I recommend a book? It's called "Darkness Visible" by William Styrom. If you could get her that book and also a copy for yourself, it is remarkable. I think my family finally understood me...and I finally didn't feel so alone.
Thank you Kim for posting this inspiring video. It comes across that you're very aware of the crushing pain of depression (completely alien to people who've never felt it), but it is actually very uplifting to have it articulated the way you have in this video.
Or in fact, most people who have high sensitivity, vision, creativity... and if you combine those things with courage, purpose, love, the decision to see the blessings in your life, and personal acceptance - I mean, REAL acceptance, like someone with any injury must have, not resentment that you of all people must suffer - then you can rise above any heights of clouds, see further than forever, and do great things.
Thank you for what you wrote 3 weeks ago. This was the first time I saw it. I agree with everything you said....well spoken. There is a heavy price to pay to have understanding and gifts that come with illness, but in the end..."you can see further than forever.
This is very dear to me. Sometimes 'identification' is the only thing can can see us through this--to know we are indeed, not the only one in the world who knows this excruciating pain, that at times, seems to leave many of us looking so lifeless.
I am a artist and suffer depression I often wonder which caused the other, Thanks for the post

Never had a depression I think. There was a time where I just felt sorry for myself but yeah, no depression.
Good luck to everyone who has it, it'll get better when the hard times are over.
(Also, thank you for the song!)

Was that John Denver in there? He suffered from depression? Never knew...

Yeah, that was John Denver. I found out alot about his depression through some reading. That's why he had a problem with drinking. :(

Thank you so much for saying that. I just want to help in anyway I can, because I understand this terrible disease.

Great job, Kishkay! You should add these personalities, too:
Marilyn Monroe
Princess Diana
Sylvia Plath
Connie Francis
Rod Steiger
Freddie Prinze Sr.

Very inspirational, and like other commentators, it reallly does help to identify this debillitating illness. Thanks for posting.
