@wiredtoawall Lol.....no it doesn't. He moves to his left and counters. Plus....even if it did land it doesn't meet the requirements of an effective punch. He didn't deserve that point. Look at it closely......pause it. Look at how he moves his head to avoid the punch then counters....... it doesn't land.

@wiredtoawall Yeah, just pause it..........wasn't a punch. I guess with his experience and long history he gets the slight edge on the judges "reaction time". Glad they're doing away with this scoring system......the new scoring seems to be a little better. We'll see.......

@edemvedson what I meant by was that a few miscounted punches usually do not change the outcome especially in the 10 point scoring system.

@MechPhantom The old scoring system being used here was tricky. There's five judges and three out of the five must push a button (red or blue) when a punch is landed. All three MUST be within 1 second of each other in order for the punch to count. The new system that will be used for the first time at this years US Championships is a bit different.

the chinese boy knows exactly how to box a southpaw. i was suprised how perfect his technique was in this match. he deserves the gold medal from the olympics fo sure. great range awareness.
