For Purple and Green or pixelated problems - Your USB hub or port had a power flux (too much or too little) and it blew your easycap. Only suggestion I can think of is get a new one and don't use it on a hub, give it a dedicated usb port.
For 100% Green Screens - It doesn't support the resolution or video format you're trying to use, try changing resolution, or from PAL to NTSC etc.
You'll also want to find the DC60+ with updated firmware, normal DC60 isn't very compatible.

it was the usb port on my computer you have to put it into one of the ports at the back!!
