but the fact that this turmoil has played out as it has is extremely distressing, deaths should not be met with deaths,

to those who praise the death of basij members, remember they are one of the keys of Iran's prevalence and survival in Iran Iraq war...

their job is to combat riots and turmoil, some (i cant say all as it would be ignorant) have crossed the line heavily.

The point is it won't work since the people aren't armed. If the govt doesn't back down it will just be a shooting gallery. The best hope is that if and when the govt has to call in the bigger troops, they will dissent and refuse to kill unarmed people on the scale which would be necessary to quiet them for the sake of a dictator.
