@tdickensheets I was lucky. I was worried about the righty "Paul" ruining my suspension of disbelief I had going by sitting in the balcony. For the Toledo Mac Ruffin of "Beatlemania LIVE",( a "poor man's" RAIN.) Having a Righty Paul is my major gripe with RAIN. I would give Mac Ruffin the job with RAIN and send Joey Curatolo back to B-LIVE until he learns to play lefty. The recently deceased Gary Grimes (RIP) from 1964 " was a righty who learned to play lefty. BTW the Show was fantastic!
as for the "right handed paul"....I'll take the best imitation of Paul over the "right handed" thing. While Ardy from The Fab Four is a great imitator of Paul, he often has flat notes and sings certain songs strained. Joey from Rain breezes through the Beatles material and stays on Pitch.
@babystinky ,I have seen your posts overtime and you need to be more informed. Ardy from the Fab Four had open heart surgery 4 years ago, and he is still performing. So when you say strained vocals, you know why now. Although Rain is good, they take way too many liberties with look and sound. I'l take Ardy and the fab four anyday. Strained vocals or not more authentic.
@gregtheegg14 Officially on their web site they have one official set of 4 "Beatles" and a list of guys who "fill in" Mac Ruffin of Beatlemania LIVE filled in for the Toledo Shows because Joey Curatolo was ill. I was sad about Joey being ill but when I saw that Mac played lefty and performed an ideal Paul I was thrilled he was there. He didn't seem an outsider. In fact he directed most of the show and fit in brilliantly. He and Steve Landes as John Lennon for "Two of Us" it gave me goose-bumps,
saw them in Atlanta, saw a man named sir paul McCartney a few months back. i would say the whole vibe at sir paul was better, but rain was just as good!
We saw them at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC a few years ago and they literally tore the place down the last set (which was '68 to '70). They were amazing musicians, which really came out that last 30 min. And yes, they sound and look like the Beatles, which is more apparent in the "early years" set. The guy who plays Paul was beyond gifted.
just saw them yesterday.Loved it best show ever like watching the beatles playing all their greatest hits! Super show.

A right handed Paul wrecks it. Besides, 1964 The Tribute and Get Back The Cast Of Beatlemania both do it better.

@yourtubesteak rain has 4 pauls and 3 of them are left handed.
