  • 1.56 - Legend!

  • 0:00

  • i'm glad to hear that gilmour is also a good blues guitar player

  • @mouchkagrigri Well, that's primarily what he plays in Pink Floyd during soloing and what not.

  • @gorillazhead I can not hear any of his speciel rifs!

  • im in heaven!

  • -THAT'S SOMETHING!

  • curtisclark13, soo cool man! b.b king is a true musician who as tired as he was,he didnt forget about you.fantastic!

  • Jools Holland is nasty on that piano!

  • They really should have released this. Two legends together and an epic song.

  • I really want an MP3 of this.

  • Gilmour is my favourite guitarist but B.B King will ALWAYS be the boss!

  • 2:45 bb king :" this white boy can play"

  • david,, your just soo versatile,, you can play all,, funk,, blues,, all !!

    WOW

  • @frankiejl0012 Actually, it was written by Sonny Boy Williamson II in 1951. The Who's 1969 cover is one of many different covers of that song (but a good one nonetheless!).

  • is that Lucile?

  • I'm sure in Gilmour head at 2:07 to 2:53 : I'm not at my places playing blues with them, ah fuck I wish I could go back to playing phsycodelic rock and taking drugs, I'll look the floor down all the solo to not show my disapointement.

Just joking, don't take it seriously lol.

  • two legends playin their hearts out...cant get any better than this. David Gilmour is tha man!!! and so is BB king!

  • Adorei e Amei!

  • Just adore David's part.

  • Que c'est bon, à point comme je l'aime !

  • 2:19 the look in bbking face! he likes gilmore

  • @AboSaud33 imo, his face is like "well, not bad but I'm better" ;)

  • @Taldegardo92 hahaha see! the good thing is that u r not b.b king haha

  • have to say David Gilmore has a far greater musical imagination then BB King. He's just run of the mill blues. Mississippi Delta stuff. Cant tell him and Bo Diddley apart. Now Gilmore, incredible. Just watch him during live a Pompeii. Just my opinion.

  • @rek1225 fiar enough on your opinion, but if you can say 'run of the mill blues' then you dont know what the blues is, and if you can't tell BB King apart from Bo Diddley then you're not listening

  • i dont know if they are the best ever, but they are the most respected guitarists of all time

  • I bet BB King in an elevator in Birmingham Alabama. I asked for an autograph and he said "Man i'm really tired right now, meet me in the lobby at 4;00 and bring your camera and anything you want me to sign" Later that afternoon i headed down to the lobby at about 3:45 thinking he'd never show up and when i got there he was already there sitting all by himself and waiting for me. He signed a few T-Shirts and we took some pictures together...how cool is that?

  • @curtisclark13 The man is great. He used to come into the record store I worked at in Vegas and was always very kind and modest.

  • that thing that david does at 2:51 ... i fucking love that sound.

  • I think this really shows David's modesty. He's having a good time just doing what he loves, being part of the band. If he had the rock star ego, it would have been effortless for him to send Bebe home in tears....

  • I would say B.B. King is teaching Gilmour a blues lesson.

  • @inflames206 gilmour is inspired bby the blues, most of his riffs are from the blues scale

  • @inflames206 I would say you're on crack

  • @inflames206...

    Hum... No.

    I don't think so.

Frist of all, you don't teach David something about guitar playing.

Then BB has probably too much respect not doing this...

  • I love that tenor player in the back holding his horn sideways like Lester Young!

  • haha i could tell it was gilmour without seeing his face properly. i love how each guitarist has his own way of standing when playing

  • A lot of people dont realize thats David is a Blues guitar player its just kinda hidden around the floyd sound but you can hear it in all of his work. David and BB are amazing and long live the BLUES!!!

  • jools holland !!!!!!

  • Is B.B. playing Lucille, Lucille, or Lucille?

  • @Makonu2 ahah, it's an interesting question

  • yawn

  • You know there's some serious music going on when you can make Gilmour move. :) This video makes me smile every time I watch it. Two greats. Thumbs way up.

  • jp6l6

  • the master of vibrato meets the king of bend

  • The guy is an absolute gentleman. God bless him :)

  • david gilmour can play

  • whose fighting over clapton vs gilmour ! clapton aint in this video

they are two brilliant but different guitarists its a pointless discussion

just enjoy a great song and BB fucking King

  • BB King has always admit by himself he only plays solo because he's unable to sing and play rhythm guitar at the same time. What a shame for such a star ! Anybody can do it but he worked in cotton fields, suffered and lived so sad stories the people say he's a true bluesman who gets the soul. Fucking business ! Who's able to discribe what a true bluesman and the soul are ? Nobody, these are just legends ! Sorry.

  • english blues guitarists sound the same, if you told me that was clapton, and just listened to it, you would believe it was clapton lol.

  • Damn thats why BB is the King. And Gilmour my God that sound!!!!!!!!!!! It's like music to my hears, oh wait! O.O...Anyways, just got an ear orgasm! 2 guitar Gods together!

  • that's the same gilmour who played comfortably numb! he is just amazing...

Saludos

  • Dont Forget the Who's Version...

  • It takes a man like B.B king to changa a Who lyrics and we all find it nice. He is a monster

  • @ACanette it's not a Who original so he didn't change anything.

  • Is that Jools Holland on piano? The man rocks!

  • My God is the devil playing guitars!!!!!.... Fantastic!

  • nice to see the red strat again

  • @floydfreek01 again? In the 90's that was pretty much his go to guitar.

  • fantastico..

  • Legendary Stuff!

  • bb king doing a who song. amazazing

  • Original is by Sonny Boy Williamson II! Not by the who!

  • On the Live at Leeds album Pete says it's a Mose Allison song. Strange...

  • The Mose Allison song he was referring to was young man blues. Im sure Mose did a cover of eyesight to the blind.

  • yeah its not by the who ....lol the only song on tommy thats not original

  • Actually its a Sonny Boy Williamson Song

  • song by The Who - eyesight to the blind

  • actually it was by Aleck "Rice" Miller

  • the song is by SONNYBOY WILLIAMSON 2 ( RIce Miller)...watch out

  • theres only one man better than gilmour and he's not there

  • and he is?

  • clapton

  • he is certainly not better than gilmour

I would say that clapton (an awesome musician) is boring compared to Gilmour!

  • yeh gilmour is inventive nd there both my favourite guitarists

  • compared to many others like BB king, SRV, Cray, too

they were just much more original and inventive

  • i enjoyed your argument/disscussion sir

  • thank you very much

I love clapton, too. As I mentioned he's brilliant and I enjoy his blues stuff. Still there are more creative and innovative players.

    have a nice day!

  • @bigb934 Maybe less soulful but nowhere near less interesting.

  • @bigb934 im so glad that this is getting many thumbs up.. Gilmour <3

  • @bigb934 clapton and gilmour both are my favorites. as far as soulfull playing, they're pretty damn close.

  • @bigb934 Agreed. Clapton is over rated. Clapton = YAWN

  • @bigb934 Silly to say Clapton is boring compared to Gilmour. BB is phenomenal

  • @HoffmansACID nevermind i take that back. gilmour>clapton

  • @sonofnothing no probs

  • Comment removed

  • @HoffmansACID Beck?

  • Oh my gods... :)

  • No competition here, folks. Just two great guitarists doing a blues.

  • david gilmour totally owns king in this, ahah

  • Put two godly guitarists together like that... what do you think'll happen? My god, brilliant...

  • YEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! beats stoned blues traitor clapton any day
