@frankiejl0012 Actually, it was written by Sonny Boy Williamson II in 1951. The Who's 1969 cover is one of many different covers of that song (but a good one nonetheless!).
I'm sure in Gilmour head at 2:07 to 2:53 : I'm not at my places playing blues with them, ah fuck I wish I could go back to playing phsycodelic rock and taking drugs, I'll look the floor down all the solo to not show my disapointement.
have to say David Gilmore has a far greater musical imagination then BB King. He's just run of the mill blues. Mississippi Delta stuff. Cant tell him and Bo Diddley apart. Now Gilmore, incredible. Just watch him during live a Pompeii. Just my opinion.
@rek1225 fiar enough on your opinion, but if you can say 'run of the mill blues' then you dont know what the blues is, and if you can't tell BB King apart from Bo Diddley then you're not listening
I bet BB King in an elevator in Birmingham Alabama. I asked for an autograph and he said "Man i'm really tired right now, meet me in the lobby at 4;00 and bring your camera and anything you want me to sign" Later that afternoon i headed down to the lobby at about 3:45 thinking he'd never show up and when i got there he was already there sitting all by himself and waiting for me. He signed a few T-Shirts and we took some pictures together...how cool is that?
I think this really shows David's modesty. He's having a good time just doing what he loves, being part of the band. If he had the rock star ego, it would have been effortless for him to send Bebe home in tears....
A lot of people dont realize thats David is a Blues guitar player its just kinda hidden around the floyd sound but you can hear it in all of his work. David and BB are amazing and long live the BLUES!!!
You know there's some serious music going on when you can make Gilmour move. :) This video makes me smile every time I watch it. Two greats. Thumbs way up.
BB King has always admit by himself he only plays solo because he's unable to sing and play rhythm guitar at the same time. What a shame for such a star ! Anybody can do it but he worked in cotton fields, suffered and lived so sad stories the people say he's a true bluesman who gets the soul. Fucking business ! Who's able to discribe what a true bluesman and the soul are ? Nobody, these are just legends ! Sorry.
Damn thats why BB is the King. And Gilmour my God that sound!!!!!!!!!!! It's like music to my hears, oh wait! O.O...Anyways, just got an ear orgasm! 2 guitar Gods together!
Saludos

Frist of all, you don't teach David something about guitar playing.
Then BB has probably too much respect not doing this...
