Though this may be a great classical piece, it is first and foremost a testament to the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has risen indeed and He shall reign forever and ever as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and we will all witness the true Majesty of God Almighty.
Every time I hear this wonderful piece of music, it makes the world seem a grandly joyous place, it eternally renews afresh my faith in humanity, and fills me with wonder at the glory of the white race.
omg! Ive done this one before! Its sooo fun! I wanna do it again now! *sniffles* Gives me goosebumps just listening to it! Its esp. awesome when u have all of the music swirling around you! hehe...
It's played at "Baroque" pitch and is the pitch Handel would have heard it. It's also played on period instruments, so the trumpets (in D) are actually pitched (at today's pitch) in Db, making it impossible to play in "today's" D.
I believe this is the same superb Aussie conductor who led the Selangor Phil.Choir and National Symphony Orchestra of Malaysia in Hadyn's Die Schopfung in Kuala Lumpur some years ago (I was in the tenor section of the choir). sd goh (malaysia)
King of kings,Lord of lords, forever and ever .Hallelujah to The Living God of Salvation.Glory to Lord Jesus Christ.very beautiful rendition .thanks for posting
Our choir performed it last Christmas but due to lack of tenors the part where we sang "And he shall regn forever and ever" was not very clear in the recording
one of the best version of Händel's "Hallelujah" on you tube.
The best so far, soul uplifting
