The output to the sea for Bolivia is a whim. They don't need it, because we have guaranteed it by treaties through our ports. They haven't been able to lift Puerto Busch on the Paraguay river, and they intend to build a seaport that would cost double its GDP? This issue is only a distractor that bolivian politicians have made​up to their people's mind to cover their corruption. Bolivia should be concerned to organize his chaotic country rather than live in this nonsense.

That's far fetched and has no place in a western news report. Frankly, it suggests that these countries are so poor that all they have is crude resources and struggling industry, compared to the pre-eminent country which AlJazeera represents, USA or UK.

When you have a neighbour with massive gas reserves yes - Chile struggles through winter and is only months away from another season.

This story is a great example of diplomacy that the developed world can take in its stride.
