  • Beautiful. And that is why I am learning.

May I ask, which program did you use to put on the reverb effect? It sounds fantastic.

  • @Eclectica7 I used the DX Reverb Lite plug-in for Audacity.

  • @ubizmo un saludo des de mexico exelente very goood

  • Realy Cool!!! Men - you best!

  • you remind me of my old elementary school music teacher!

  • thank you!!!!!! THIS is how recorders should sound. some of the other recorder players on youtube screetch it up and its HORRID. well done. this just boosted the recorder up on my list of instrument ratings. it is now above jaw harp, but below tambourine.

  • WICKED

  • tabs pls

  • @fredddd111 Sorry, played by ear.

  • Love this song, but I noticed they refer to the 300 Recorder. The only Yamaha recorders I know of that are in ivory are the older 24 and the new 28 versions. Are there others in the Alto/treble F key?

    hardtack@hughes.net

  • @ally5251 Yes, there are, and they don't cost much more.

  • enjoyed that,,,TA,,,

  • whats a good starter brand for recorders?

  • @TheMrDoItYourselfer A Yamaha 300 series plastic recorder is very good, and affordable. A decent wooden recorder will cost you more, but Moeck is good.

  • recorders are fairly easy to do by ear but you really hit that out of the ball park

  • can sombody send me the notes pleaseee

  • teach me!!!!!!!! where can i find a sheet with all the notes? tried to look at your fingers but i couldn't see some of them. PLEASE HELP!

  • @matheus11397 I played it by ear. You can too!

  • @matheus11397 try wikifonia dot (.) org slash (/) node slash 1347

  • nice job is was'nt perfect but it was good

  • I like it. go ahead man.

  • Mister, you ROCK. Yes (of course) play it by ear...immerse yourself into it and use your ears. How else should one play music? Great tone and inflection.

The recorder is such an underestimated little instrument.

I hope you might like my own recorder improvs in my vids: "Dinah" and "Que Nadie Sepa Mi Suffrir."

Keep on posting and keep on playing.

  • lol awesome

  • amazing :)

    You are gr8

  • Please could happen to me the music of this song please please.

  • Sorry, I played it by ear.

  • The playback was made by you? Seems need more practice on this. Great melodie to play on recorder!

  • oh men you play it cool

  • nice! :)

  • i think the ocarina was better. it just fit more nicely than the lower tone of the recorder.

  • awesome! just curious, did you add the reverb effect afterwards?

  • Yes, I did. Adding it before mixing takes more audio editing skill than I have.

  • what progam is this? this sound is dif then the original song?

  • It"s a midi file, not the original music.

  • im also starting out. im just a kid.

i want to be like you.

plus i have the same recorder as you.

    awesome video.

  • I'm glad you like it. Keep playing, and don't give up.

  • i love the tone of your treble and great choice of piece too :D

  • Thank you!

  • Oh yeah, I enjoyed this.

  • hello this is excellent 5 stars well done

  • In ancient Greece, you would have taken your place up on Mount Olympus as the god of Song. Because you sir, make love to my ears with your music. :P

  • Time to prepare an ocarina rendition.

  • Good luck with it. I did one first, but didn't upload it. Maybe you'll get it to come out better than I did.

  • I cheat and use sheet music.

  • The problem wasn't the notes. It just sounded too thin, somehow. Maybe it was all in my head.

  • Perhaps it was the pitch of the Mountain Ocs...I'll try it on the Forte and see how it sounds.

  • Its not cheating to use sheet music. =)

Playing by ear isn't always best.

    -----

Ubizmo, that sounds better than your MOs and actually sounded better than the standard recorder sound I am used to hearing or have heard.

You should use it more often! =)

And also another video effect! Hehe! ;-)

  • I like this song!

  • I don't like Coldplay, but you brought this beautifully! =)

  • Great performance! I like this song a lot, and I like what you did with it!

  • YES! SOMEONE INSTRUMENTIZING A VOCAL PART! Something I want to do, but have been very unsure of . . .

    You pulled it off! :D

  • My goodness! That was fantastic!!

  • wow! that's a nice sounding recorder! what a pleasure to listen to! good job!

  • The alto is usually a little easier on the ear than the soprano.

  • Bravo!!!

Yep that worked quite well, probably sound good on a Native American flute too...
