Good points GHNM, I would say the Sabbath is a day to do good. It is good to rescue a calf that falls into a pit, for example, rather than "deviate" from His commandments. He taught to do good on this day as well, fellowship, etc.

Btw, it is impossible for a true followers of Christ to worship in honor of the resurrection because once His blood was shed, once He died, there could be NO adding or taking away to the covenant. The 1st day is mentioned 8x in the N.T. Not once is it related to worship ;) To do this (Sunday worship) is to follow man's tradition, and not the Bible as you claim you do. Since you do follow the Bible, and feel this convicted so far about it, I see no reason to doubt you will understand what God's Word is really revealing to us.

I was convicted about images of 'Yeshua' when I was a small child & it has rankled deeply in my Spirit ever since. I understand the context of worship in this commandment. Of course, I would never worship any image.
However, I have SEEN w/ my own eyes how easily new converts (from a culture that was USED to worshipping idols!) might be led to worship an image of 'Yeshua' (transferring from their pagan worship to 'Yeshua').
This is a valid concern for lambs in Yeshua who've come from previous pagan religions.
We need to be careful not to cause anyone to stumble - and most certainly be mindful of pitfalls for others coming from different cultures and backgrounds.

They may have preached on another day of the week aside from Sabbath - but it certainly does not mean, imply or stipulate that Sabbath was changed from the 7th day on YAWEH's calendar.

I'm aware that "El" in many ancient Semitic languages means "diety" or "god". Never heard of "Israel" being the name of an Egyptian god though. In Hebrew Israel translates as "overcomer with God".
The Lord has many names, including:
El-Shaddai (Genesis 17:1, 2), which means “the Almighty God”
El-Elyon (Numbers 24:16), which means “the Most High God”
El-Olam (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 40:28), which means “God of eternity”

I have no problem keeping all G-d's Ten Commandments, plus those our Lord modified to make them even more intense at the Seremon on the Mount. If He wanted to change the Sabbath day to the first day of the Week, He would have done it then...since He did clarify some of the other commands as well as do away with some Mosaic Laws...
I take my guidance from the Holy Spirit of G-d, I am sure you won't mind :-)

Something to note for people, fulfill does not mean to destroy, it means to keep. Jesus kept the Commandments, He did not abolish them.
Imagine a world w/o the 10Cs. Complete chaos. Everything would be a disaster.

Dear Nirky, you won't find any scripture where Yeshua the "Son of Man" who is also LORD over the Sabbath changed anything as regards to MOVING this day to another day... The only thing He said about it, is that the WAY the Pharisees kept it (making another 1000 laws around it of what you can and cannot do) is wrong! Yeshua had plenty time before and after His Crucifixtion to change the Fourth Commandment....but He never gave such an instruction....

I know many people have tried in vain to find that teaching in His word. If you cannot show it, we can talk about Acts 20:7.

By Christ's resurrection on the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1), His continued appearances on succeeding Sundays (John 20:26), and the descent of the Holy Spirit on Sunday (Acts 2:1), the early church was given the pattern of Sunday worship. The Apostles worshiped, had fellowship and broke bread on Sunday.
John had the last great vision on "the Lord's day" Rev 1:10.

Good points GHNM, I would say the Sabbath is a day to do good. It is good to rescue a calf that falls into a pit, for example, rather than "deviate" from His commandments. He taught to do good on this day as well, fellowship, etc.

Btw, it is impossible for a true followers of Christ to worship in honor of the resurrection because once His blood was shed, once He died, there could be NO adding or taking away to the covenant. It had to happen while He was alive. Consult Hebrews 9:16,17 and Galations 3:15. Simply put, Jesus NEVER hinted at either stopping the Sabbath, or changing it.
When you pay attention to this, you'll see the 7th Day remains. Nothing else needs to be said, cuz these 2 texts refute all opposition.

The 1st day is mentioned 8x in the N.T. Not once is it related to worship ;) To do this (Sunday worship) is to follow man's tradition, and not the Bible as you claim you do. Since you do follow the Bible, and feel this convicted so far about it, I see no reason to doubt you will understand what God's Word is really revealing to us.
The Sabbath, the Lord's Day, the only day God ever blessed, is the 7th Day.

I follow Christ. He is Lord of Lords!!! I am not a Jew, I am a Gentile follower of Christ, so the 10 commandments were not written for me anyway! To say they were written for anyone but Israel is to call God a liar!! I follow the commandments of Christ. But he did nail the laws to the cross as stated in Eph 2:15-16, Col 2:16-17 . I do not need to REST(obey Sabbath) not only because I am not a Jew but because I, like My Lord, will rest when the Father rests explained in Hebrews 4.

Tigerlamb007, Have you burned every photo in your Albums? Have you removed every nature scenery painting off your walls? First of all NO ONE knows what Yeshua looked like,...these images are erronous at best...therefore NOT His image, and CERTAINLY not to be bowed down before or worshipped... The Commandment that adresses images addresses them in the context of worship. No one is going to worship these pictures in the video..(at least I hope not!)

I believe they are good as visual aid, in order to lend a visual interpretation of what is being said...but they are not to be confused with GRAVEN IMAGES created with the purpose to worship... Staring at a photo of your child in adoration, is worship... There is a fine line here...

I was convicted about images of 'Yeshua' when I was a small child & it has rankled deeply in my Spirit ever since. I understand the context of worship in this commandment. Of course, I would never worship any image.

This is a valid concern for lambs in Yeshua who've come from previous pagan religions.
We need to be careful not to cause anyone to stumble - and most certainly be mindful of pitfalls for others coming from different cultures and backgrounds.

Genuine concern tigerlamb007, and good points GHNM. My suggestion would be to continue (for all new converts) studying the Bible, and not forget the Commandments of God. Lovingly show the difference of the usage of pictures in this case for example, and then worshiping them. They'll understand :)

I truly care not for your research sister, because the Word of G-d is CLEAR.... No Commandment was ever changed... Not by G-d the Father, nor by G-d the Living Word who came in the flesh... His appearances to His Disciples has no bearing on the Commandments He gave us to keep...and since He appeared after His ressurection, and gave instructions to His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit, don't you think He would ALSO remember to mention such a change if it existed, pertinently?!!!

If Jews want to cling to the old laws written for the Jews ONLY, of circumcision, Sabbath, obstaining from foods, Feasts, the faithful are NOT to judge them on those. My faith is in Christ alone. He took the Laws he wrote with His own Hand and nailed them to the cross Col 2:14, Eph 2:15 My warning to you is to stop trying to push old laws on the Church. If you live by the old law then you are judged by it 100% w/your Sabbath sacrifices, sitting at home w/o heat, no cooking, no medicine etc.

Do not confuse circumscision, and eating of certain foods only (a law of Moses) with the Ten Commandments which came directly from G-d, written by His Hand...
The Ten Commandments were never nailed to the cross... Does that mean you can go out and murder and steal now too? A Law of Moses and a Commandment from G-d are two ENTIRELY different thing...

4th Beast Islam? When did Islam conquer Greece? History is clear, Rome did. Its a perfect fit in every breakdown of characteristics. The papacy has has completely removed one commandment (the one about not worshiping other images, as they do this w/ the virgin Mary for example) and then claim "authority" to also replace the Sabbath with a day of no significance.. one dedicated to the sun by pagans. Nothing more.
Rome is the 4th beast.

They may have preached on another day of the week aside from Sabbath - but it certainly does not mean, imply or stipulate that Sabbath was changed from the 7th day on YAWEH's calendar.
