You can also take a day trip to the Aran Islands from Galway City. You should also consider going to Clare on the other side of Galway Bay to see The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. You can find info on all of these places on Wikipedia and tourist info is available from discoverireland.ie

Ireland is an amazingly beautiful nation! I myself am from Pakistan and live in NY and have been trying to visit Ireland for some time. I'm 24 and Ive already lived in a lot of different countries but I can truly say from what Ive seen of Ireland it seems like the most beautiful county in the world! It really does! Fingers crossed hopefully I'll get enough money put together to visit it soon.

I honestly think you should give it another try because it genuinely is a beautiful country.
