anybody who can't appreciate this doesn't know what it means to be a fan of music. Obviously the additions were felt emotionally by the instrumentalists. Fuck your face if you are a hater. Go to hell or get on stage and make a difference you losers
this is ridiculous because I would never ever THINK to compare O.A.R. to Led Zep.. and don't take me wrong, I FOLLOW O.A.R. around.. but Led Zep is timeless... I won't even lie on this.. O.A.R. equals Led Zep on this.. can't believe that I just posted this..
I Love Led Zeppelin almost as much as I love Jesus and Big Bird, but they never had one outtake of this song discovered, i think it was too difficult of a song to perform live adequately with the tech availiable at the time. Anyway, this or Umphrey's McGee's version is about the closest you'll get to busting a nut to an authentic live version of FOTR, this is about as close as it gets.
@markusjj85 In fool in the rain he played a piano, in Kashmir he played an organ which means he is still able to have the bass sound through the organ
@MarkSacBust I was thinking - I don't think Zep toured after In Through the Out Door, did they? It was less than a year later that Bonham died - so I would bet that is more of the reason than them not being able to figure out a way to play it...
@evolutionOrevolution Check out the version performed by "Furthur" (some ex-Dead members with friends) - that they performed April Fools 2011... pretty good too

who cares which version is better. If you enjoy the Led Zeppelin version so much go listen to that until your ears bleed, not this

@evolutionOrevolution the reason they never played it live is because it required John Paul Jones to play piano and that left nobody to play bass
MarkSacBust 1 year ago
@MarkSacBust Wow I didn't know that! I always wondered why they never performed it! Thanks for this little bit of information. :)
carolinast94 1 year ago
@MarkSacBust They played Kashmir live all the time and John Paul plays just keys on that
