Umm... no there isn't. There's always been male Mithras; there just aren't many of them, and they don't go out into the world typically. This is what the story has told us all along.
Galkas, on the other hands, have no females. Technically, they aren't even male. They don't reproduce sexually, they just reincarnate. This is actually why the Antica were able to drive them out of their home; the Antica could reproduce and the Galka couldn't, so their numbers overwhelmed them.

i highly doubt male mithra will ever be a Playable race.
Unlike WoW
FFXI has a job changing system so changing to a Male mithra race would mean Restarting a new Character from scratch
and i dont think SE wants to see 10,000
new male mithras running around.
